Instant alignment on Zen Tarot Osho - how to guess correctly. Osho Zen Tarot Instant Spread The main idea. And also how this deck can be useful to a tarot reader

Zorba can be compared to a foundation, and Buddha is a palace built on it. And if the Buddha is the peak, then the foundation stones depend on the Zorb. It is not right to be a Buddha when you have no support under your feet.

In this statement I am correct. Zorba cannot be dispensed with, and the more powerful he is, the wider the possibilities that will be for the Buddha. So that everyone can grow into a Buddha at any moment, Zorba has a huge need for energy, which is needed to create a Buddha. You can compare Zorba with a massive marble, which will be processed, and a beautiful figure of the Buddha will be born. You just need to choose the right stone. The next question is just to keep your eyes open. I am not afraid for the Buddha, I am worried about people who are not destined to become Zorbs. After all, they will never become a Buddha because they do not have a basis from which he can be born.

This lack and emptiness in people has a reason, and it is connected with the work of religious leaders. Throughout history, they assured that it is impossible to depend on the material world, insisted on abstaining from sexual activity, we must live, in their opinion, in poverty. According to this theory, life itself is already sinful. For all these reasons, Zorba was destroyed, if not for all this, then everyone would be born Zorba.

If my plan is followed, everyone will die as a Zorba the Buddha.

The new man is named Zorba the Buddha

My teaching is about trust, that you should become cordial, surrender to feelings and love. But the time has come when you must learn skepticism, learn to doubt, to be reasonable and intellectual. Because that's how I achieve your integrity. You can be satisfied with only cordiality and trust, but this will not mean that you are whole. In my opinion, neither Mira nor Ramakrishna are whole people. They have beauty, but they lack real intelligence, all their impulses are in the heart. When sugar abounds, health fails and you become diabetic. I suffer from such a disease. When your heart is too big, and there is a lot of sugar, then you are overtaken by illness. I do not wish this illness for you. Living life only by following the heart, each of us can get a great spiritual experience, but also a spiritual illness.

The real mind has many tastes: there is salt and pepper, but not much sweetness.

My desire is for everyone to live feeling their own integrity. You live with your body, heart or mind, it all depends on your mood at a certain moment. Such a person can be called Zorba-Buddha.

No need to choose, no need to leave anything

There is no need to make any choice - this is what I think when I talk about Zorba the Buddha. The Buddha set himself a choice when he made the decision to renounce the world, chose the path where he leaves his family, wife, aged father and child. This can definitely be called an escape, because it was necessary to accept reality and touch the real world. This is a very thoughtful choice, which was directed towards the spiritual, against everything material, away from the world.

In reality, a person cannot make a choice. There is no choice in life. There is no need to leave anything behind or make a choice, it will still become a manifestation of the same thing, only from different sides. As soon as a step is taken in the direction of something, the other will immediately have to be discarded.

When silence becomes music

Zorba's favorite pastime is singing, dancing and playing musical instruments. All these activities will be honed to perfection by the Buddha. Silence itself is a song, and cold stones are a lesson in wisdom. Everything that surrounds us can be a musical instrument. Magic is in everyone's hands, in existence. It is elegance, poetry and beauty.

A holy man must be whole

And for Zorba, life with songs, dances, joys and love is normal. But so he lives without realizing himself. In such a life there is no full awareness of what it means to exist. In such a life there is no path that would lead to the experience of endless life, without death. There is no chance to know the absence of limits of human consciousness. And outside of this is empty, so we reach the last point, we are at the threshold of the house.

I thought about it and didn't see any contradictions or problems. If you are at home, at your center, nothing blocks the path to laughter. In fact, only you can really laugh, you yourself are laughter. Only you are capable of love, everyone can become love himself. The loving person himself ceases to exist, but love lives on. In a real dance, the dancer is forgotten and disappears, he is not there, but the dance itself remains.

Our goal is to become a whole person, because only such a person can be a saint. It means that inevitably Zorba must know the Buddha. But they should not be separated, their task is to merge into one. I see no reason for concern. If Zorba merges with Buddha, then this will become the greatest wealth.

If the Buddha does not have the opportunity to sing, dance, love or laugh, then such a life will simply be empty.

Why is Zorba just the beginning?

Zorba is the only legacy that can be left, so I want such a person to live in everyone. But this is not the end of the road.

I think Zorba is the very first step. The time will come when you will give him even more freedom so that he can express himself, the moment will come when thoughts about the important, even more significant and higher will begin to come into your head. At the same time, this will not become the conclusion of your thoughts, this is the result of personal experience, because the previous small joys and experiences will soon become boring and uninteresting. Zorba's life path allowed the Buddha to become himself.

All my efforts are aimed at bringing Zorba the Buddha into the world.

This will help to make us united, the soul and body will be reunited. No one will have to resist against nature, it will become a ladder. Do not go against it, do not fight and do not suppress. Mental illness always comes from repressing your desires. Anyone who suffers from a mental illness is incurable. Everything from the fact that they cannot accept their nature completely, without being at enmity and fighting with themselves. To grow, you can use your nature, which gives energy. This is what will give integrity.

Any religious trend made people schizophrenics and psychopaths. Divided into parts, it can even be considered a special business. Because in this there is a call to come to temples, synagogues or churches, because without the call there is no need to visit them. When you are alone, the best pastime for you will be dancing in the air, under the rays of the sun. This is what you can call prayer. You don't have to say anything or ask questions to anyone, you just feel grateful to be there.

The division within a person should be destroyed by Zorba-Buddha, he is also called upon to remove the division of society.

CHAPTER TWO

Zorba Buddha

First question:

Osho, at this moment, right here, I could drink you, share your Buddhahood, but I don't. Day after day I don't do it. Beloved Osho, is it so difficult to drop our conditioning?

The most difficult thing in life is to drop the past, because to drop the past means to drop everything individual, to drop everything personal. It means throw yourself away. You are nothing but your past, you are nothing but your conventions.

It's not like taking off your clothes, it's like being skinned. Your past is what you think you are. Dropping is difficult, hard - it is the most difficult thing in life. But those who can dare to drop only those live. The rest are just pretending to be alive, the rest are just barely eking out an existence. There is no energy in them - it cannot be. They live on the bare minimum. And to live on a minimum means to miss everything.

It is only when you live to the best of your ability that flowering happens. Only with the maximum expression of your essence, your authenticity, God comes - you begin to feel the presence of the divine.

The more you disappear, the more you feel the presence of the divine. But this presence will be felt later. The first condition for realization is disappearance. This is a kind of death.

Therefore, it is difficult, Rashid. And the conditioning has gone very deep -- because you have been conditioned from the very beginning; from the very first moment you were born, conditioning began. By the time you become alert, a little bit conscious, it has already reached the deepest core of your being. Until you get inside yourself to that deepest core that was not touched at all by conditioning, that was before conditioning began, until you become this silence and this innocence, you will never know who you are.

Usually you know that you are a Hindu, a Christian, a communist. Usually you know that you are Hindu, Chinese, Japanese, usually you know many things; but all these are just conventions imposed on you. You entered the world perfectly still, pure, innocent. Your innocence was absolute.

Meditation means to penetrate into this core, into this innermost core. Zen people call this real face recognition.

The conditioning must be understood first. Because of this conditioning, you have lost something essential, something natural, something spontaneous. You are no longer a human being, you only appear to be. You have become a humanoid.

A humanoid is a creature that is not capable of self-knowledge, that has no idea who it is. All his ideas about himself are borrowed; they are given to him by other humanoids. The humanoid is incapable of mobilizing its own aspirations; he is no longer able to want, to be. This is a dependent phenomenon; he lost his freedom. This is essentially his mental illness.

And all of humanity today is mentally ill. People who seem normal to you are not normal at all. The whole earth has become a huge madhouse. But since the whole earth is a lunatic asylum, it's hard to see. There are people like you everywhere, so you think you are normal and they are normal.

It is very rare to have a normal person in this world - this world does not allow anything normal. Buddha is normal, Jesus is normal, Mohammed is normal. However, they seem abnormal since they are such a tiny minority.

Most hurt. And that majority is overwhelming. It crucifies Jesus, it poisons Socrates, it kills Mansoor.

A humanoid is one who cannot will himself, who always relies on authorities, who always needs someone else to tell him what to do, he is ready to obey: he is not at all ready to choose. This is what Pythagoras and all the great masters in the world want from you: Choose, manifest your will, be your own light.

A humanoid cannot exercise its will because it has never been trained to do so. That's why, Rashid, you say:

At this moment, right here, I could drink you, share your Buddhahood. But I don't.

Since you do not know how to exercise your own will, there cannot be your own choice. You have become extremely dependent. A humanoid cannot exercise its will because it has never been taught to do so. The inability to desire is not a genetic trait. It is not in the least a congenital disability; rather, it is an acquired disability.

You were born to see God, you were capable. Every child can see God, communicate with existence - but we prevent him. Little by little, all the doors are closing. Gradually he acquires a certain incapacity, a certain impotence. And then, even when he sees that the prison doors are open, he cannot get out, he clings to the bars.

It is like a parrot that has lived in a cage for so long that he forgot that he had wings. Leave the door open... it won't fly out. If you try to kick him out, he will cling to the bars.

That's what's happening to you, Rashid. This is your acquired inability. In particular, this inability means that the early upbringing and education of a person either did not contribute, or did not at all provide an opportunity for the manifestation of his active will.

Parents do not allow the child to exercise will. Then the teachers, and these teachers are hired by the parents and the society. They are in the service of the past. The whole education system is serving the past, it is not serving you - remember that. From kindergarten to college, all teachers and professors are in the service of the past; they are there to support the past. They are not for you, they are not to help you, they are to condition you.

And then the priest and the politicians... they all try to make you conditioned. Nobody wants you to be a free person, everyone wants you to be a slave - because the more you are a slave, the easier it is to exploit you. A leader always needs followers. Where will he find followers? If people are not slaves and do not constantly need someone to dominate them, where will he find followers?

And stupid politicians rule over millions of people. The main reason is that millions of people have been reduced to such psychological slavery that they cannot live on their own. Even if they have to follow the blind, it's better than being alone. They have become sheep - they are no longer human, they are no longer human beings. A humanoid is a ram, a humanoid is a herd animal.

Have you seen the rams walking? Clinging to each other, holding the herd? Everyone is afraid. The basic conditioning of the humanoid is the conditioning of fear. From the very beginning you have been poisoned by fear - all kinds of fear. Fear of hell, fear of the indecent, fear of being a failure in the world... fears, fears and fears.

And if you follow the leaders, the priests, the educators, then you will be promised all kinds of enticements. You will be promised all sorts of rewards - both in this century and in the future.

The humanoid simply shows that during his formative years he was accustomed to the fact that someone else determines his plans, directions and goals. Someone directed his will and did it so effectively and convincingly that he never learned to share it himself. A humanoid is a human being who was deliberately deprived of the right given to him at birth by God to all human capabilities. And now this subject will spend the rest of his life as a tyrant-needy, tyrant-seeking humanoid - unless he enters the Buddha field and awakens from his sleep.

This awakening is satori, this awakening is samadhi, this awakening is enlightenment. The Master cannot give you what you do not have. The master simply removes the conditioning from you and makes you lonely - the way you were born. He makes you a child again: that is the whole purpose of the master.

But that can't fool you, Rashid. You will need enough courage to drop the conventions. It will take great courage. But you have already shown your courage by becoming a sannyasin. You have already shown courage by being here in my presence, being with me.

Just a little more... And one day, starting to drop your conditioning, you realize that you have wings. And these wings can carry you to the ultimate reality: the flight of the lonely to the lonely. But you can only go there as an innocent being - unconditioned, completely disidentified from the past.

I know that you can drink me now. Nobody bothers you. I invite you. And the whole environment is favorable.

And yet you say: I don't do it. Day after day I don't do it.

Only you can do it. It can't be done on your behalf because doing it for you is helping you stay humanoid. You must do it! You have not done it before: you must do it, however long it takes. But I'm not going to do it for you. I will make it more and more enticing, seductive, but you must act.

This will be the first free act in your life. And the first step is half way; the other half is very light, it happens by itself.

One day, the devils got together and began to deliberate on how to destroy this world quickly and easily. Putting their hands and tails together, they began to think.

Finally, there was a movement in the assembly, and all eyes turned to Wrath, who rose to speak.

Let me go and destroy the world,” he said. I will turn brother against brother. I will make people angry with each other, and they will destroy themselves.

However, this was not enough for the main feature. Lust rose next to speak:

I will bring depravity into the minds of the people. I will make love disappear and people will turn into animals.

Shaking her head indignantly, Greed said:

Let me go, and I will gradually instill in the hearts of people the most destructive of all passions. Man's uncontrolled desires will destroy him.

Twins Gluttony and Drunkenness told how they can make the human body ballroom and intoxicate his mind. Envy, Jealousy and Hatred also said how they would destroy a person. Sloth declared that she was ready to take on this task.

However, the main feature was not enough. Finally, his last assistant spoke. This one said:

I will convince a person of everything that God wants from him. I will tell him how wonderful his plans are to be honest, clean and brave. I will support all his good intentions all my life.

The chief was stunned by such a speech, but his assistant continued:

I'll tell the man there's no rush, he can put it all off until tomorrow. I would advise him to wait until more favorable conditions arise to begin with.

The main character liked it very much. He said:

You will be the first to go to earth to destroy a man.

Whenever your mind says, "Tomorrow..." remember, the mind acts like the devil.

The moment is here and now. Never put it off: postponing becomes an addiction. And the most destructive thing in the world is the idea of tomorrow. Tomorrow never comes. You go on postponing... and one day death comes instead of tomorrow. And then it's too late.

Rashid, don't delay any longer. Only. this moment you surely have the next moment is no longer certain. This moment must be lived to the fullest.

Second question:

Osho, what is your message to the World Humanity Symposium?

I teach a new man, a new humanity, a new concept of being in the world. I proclaim homo novus. The old man is dead and there is no need to help him continue to exist. The old man is on his deathbed: don't cry for him - help him die. Because only with the death of the old can the new be born. The end of the old is the beginning of the new.

My message to humanity is the new man. Anything less is useless. Not some improvement, not some continuation of the past, but a complete break.

Until now, man has not lived a true, not genuine life; man lived a pseudo-life, man lived very pathologically, man lived very hard. And there is no need to live so pathologically: we can get out of prison, because this prison is made by our own hands. We are in prison because we chose to be in prison - because we believed that this is not a prison, but our home.

Here is my message to humanity: enough is enough. Wake up! Look what man has done to himself. In three thousand years man has fought in five thousand wars. You cannot call such humanity healthy. And only once during this time the Buddha blossomed. If only one flower blooms in the garden during this time, and there are no flowers in the rest of the garden, can you call it a garden? Something fundamental has gone wrong. Every person is born to be a Buddha: less will not satisfy you.

I announce to you your Buddhahood.

But what went wrong? Why did a person live in some kind of hell for thousands of years? For thousands of years we have lived with the concept of either-or, with the concept of man as a battlefield between the heavenly and the practical, the material and the spiritual, the mundane and the over-mundane, between good and evil, between God and the Devil. As a result, human capabilities were severely limited.

A good strategy was needed in order to destroy a man, to destroy his power - and such a strategy was to divide a man in two. People lived with the concept of either-or: either be material or be spiritual. You have been told that you cannot be both. Either body or spirit - you have been taught that you cannot be both.

This is the root cause of human suffering. A man divided in himself will remain in hell. Heaven is born when a person ceases to be divided in himself. A split person is suffering, and a whole person is bliss.

So far humanity has been schizophrenic - because you have been taught to repress, to reject, to deny many parts of your natural being. But by rejecting them, denying them, you cannot destroy them - they just go underground. They remain in your subconscious; in fact, they become more dangerous.

Man is an organic whole. And all that God has given to man must be used; nothing should be denied. A man can become an orchestra; all that is needed is the art of creating harmony within oneself.

But your so-called religions have taught you the ways of disharmony, the ways of dissonance, the ways of conflict. And when you fight with yourself, you waste your energy. You become dull, unintelligent, stupid because without a lot of energy nobody ever becomes smart. When there is an abundance of energy, there is intelligence. Overflowing with energy is what causes the growth of understanding. And man lived in inner poverty.

My message to humanity is this: create a new human being, unsplit, unified, whole.

Neither Buddha nor Zorba is whole. Both are halves. I love Zorba, I love Buddha. But when I look into the deepest core of Zorba, something is missing: he has no soul. When I look at Buddha, again something is missing: he has no body.

I teach the great meeting: the meeting of Zorba and Buddha. I'm talking about the Zorba-Buddha new synthesis. The meeting of earth and sky, the meeting of the visible and the invisible, the meeting of all opposites - man and woman, day and night, summer and winter, sex and samadhi. Only through this meeting a new person will come to earth.

My sannyasins, my people are the first rays of this new man, this homo novus.

Internal division brought a person to the brink of suicide. It has created only slaves - and slaves cannot truly live, they have nothing to live for. They live for others. They have become machines - skilful, efficient; but a car is a car. And the machine cannot enjoy life. She cannot celebrate, she can only suffer.

The old religions believed in renunciation. Renunciation has become a disaster. I bring you a blessing: I teach celebration, not renunciation. The world cannot be rejected because God did not reject it - why should you? God is in the world, why should you be outside of it?

Experience it in its entirety - and experiencing life in its entirety will bring about transformation. Then the meeting of heaven and earth is stunningly beautiful; there is nothing wrong with that. Then the polarities disappear into each other, then the polar opposites become complementary.

But the old man was not a real man. He was a humanoid, homo mechanicus - a man who was not truly whole. And a person who has not become whole can never be a saint.

A new man is coming, coming every day. He is in the minority, it is natural - but there are changes, there are new seeds. And this century, the end of this century, will see either the death of all mankind, or the birth of a new human essence.

And this is entirely up to you. If you don't stop clinging to the old, then the old man is ready in any way to commit a great suicide, a universal suicide. The old man is ready to die; the old man has lost his taste for life.

That is why all countries are preparing for war. And the Third World War will be universal. No one will be the winner because no one will survive. Not only man will be destroyed, but all life on earth.

Beware! Beware of your politicians - they are all suicidal. Beware of the old conventions that divide you into Indians, Germans, Japanese, Americans. The new man must be universal. He will transcend all barriers of race, religion, sex, color. The new man will belong neither to the East nor to the West; the new man will claim the whole earth as his home.

Only then can mankind survive - and not only survive; with the advent of the new man... The old concept said: "either-or"; the new one will be "and and". Man must live a rich life on the outside and a rich life on the inside; no need to choose. The inner life does not contradict the outer; they are parts of the same rhythm.

You don't have to be poor on the outside just to have wealth on the inside. And you do not need to part with inner wealth for the sake of external wealth. So it was until now - the West has chosen one path: be rich outwardly! The East has chosen another: be rich inside! They are both one-sided. They both suffered and they both suffer.

I teach you total wealth. Be rich outwardly through science, and be rich inwardly through religion. And that is what will make you one, organic, individual.

The new man is not a battlefield, not a split personality, but a united, unique man, wholly included in life in its entirety. The new man is the embodiment of a more adapted, changed image of a man, a new way of existence in space, a qualitatively different way of perceiving and cognizing reality. So please don't mourn the death of the old. Rejoice: the old is dying, the night is dying, and dawn is on the horizon.

I am happy, extremely happy that the traditional man is disappearing - that the old churches are turning into ruins, that the old temples are abandoned. I am immensely happy that the old morality has been shattered.

This is a very serious crisis. If we rise to the challenge, this is an opportunity to create something new. She has never been so mature. You live in almost the most beautiful time - because the old is disappearing, or has already disappeared, and chaos is happening. But huge stars are born only out of chaos.

You have a great opportunity to re-create the cosmos. This is an opportunity that comes only once - very rarely. You are fortunate to live in these critical times. Use the opportunity to create a new person.

And the creation of a new man you must begin with yourself.

The new man will be a mystic, a poet, a scientist - all together. He will not look at life through the old, pro

rotten divisions. He will be a mystic because he will feel the presence of God. He will be a poet because he will celebrate the presence of God. And he will be a scientist because he will study this presence with scientific methodology. When a person is all this together, then the person is complete.

This is my concept of a holy man.

The old man was repressive, aggressive. The old man could not help but be aggressive, because oppression always leads to aggression. The new man will be spontaneous, creative.

The old man lived by ideologies. The new man will live not by ideologies, not by morality, but consciously. The new man will live consciously. The new man will be responsible - responsible to himself and to existence. The new man will not be moral in the old sense; he will be immoral.

The new man will bring with him a new world. At present, the new man is forced to be in the minority - but he is the bearer of the new culture, the seed. Help him. From the rooftops announce his coming: this is my message to you.

The new man is open and honest. It is frankly real, valid and self-evident. He will not be a hypocrite. He will not live in the name of some goals: he will live here and now. He will know only one time - now, and only one place - here. And through that presence he will know what God is.

Rejoice! A new person comes, the old one leaves. The old is already on the cross, and the new is on the horizon. Rejoice! I repeat again and again: Rejoice!

Third question:

Why are you teaching people about nudity?

Do you see anyone naked here? Are you completely blind? I teach the truth and the truth cannot but be naked. The truth cannot be hidden. I do not teach nakedness: certainly I teach the nakedness of souls. And your clothes sometimes become a hindrance; it covers, it becomes protection.

Occasionally, when circumstances permit and your nakedness does not bother anyone, be naked. I am not asking you to go to the market drunk, but if you have the opportunity and if you can be naked in the sun, in the wind or in the rain, be. Just by throwing off your clothes, you will experience a tremendous liberation, because clothes are representative of your civilization, your conditioning.

Your clothes are not only clothes: they hide you from prying eyes. And it is very useful sometimes to be with birds, with animals, with trees, just as they are completely naked. I'm not asking you to go naked to the office or sit naked in your store. But I definitely tell you that if you can't be naked and natural at least once in a while, you're missing out on something of immense value.

However, why do you have this question? You should ask God why he made people naked. He did not send you in clothes. He still hasn't learned that a person is afraid of being naked.

Miss Winkdtrop-Bersgowicz was a pleasant old lady, but marriage had bypassed her, and she lived alone; except for her friends - fish. They splashed and rustled and gleamed among the seaweed and stones in the ponds and pools throughout the house. Even the bath was inhabited by hundreds of her graceful friends.

One day the parish priest came to visit her and, seeing such an exotic bath, exclaimed: "But, Miss Winkletrop, what do you do when you want to take a bath"? She blushed slightly and replied, "Oh, vicar, it's all right. I'm blindfolding them."

I heard about one nun who used to bathe in her clothes. Someone asked her: "What's the matter with you?" She replied: "Nothing special. I heard that God is looking at us all the time - wherever we go; and I can't be naked before God."

What is so ugly about you if you cannot be naked even before God?

But please don't misunderstand me. I am not asking you to go naked twenty-four hours a day; that would be extreme. Mahavira did this for forty years, he went naked twenty-four hours a day. I don't teach you such extremism - when it's cold, don't go naked. And when you're in a society that respects clothes, don't go naked. But I do not urge you to take a bath dressed - this is the other extreme.

I teach simplicity and I teach the golden mean. But you must have heard something. You must have seen photos of naked people in the ashram. Some people come here and look at everything... especially the Indians, because they are very interested in the naked body. They have never seen -- they are poor people -- they have not seen the beauty of the naked body, the beautiful outline of the naked body. They are too concerned. They come here, they look at everything around and feel a little disappointed, because there are no naked bodies to be seen anywhere.

You must have come up with this idea. Yes, nudity is sometimes used in therapy groups, because therapy groups are in the business of completely eradicating your bigotry. And throwing off your clothes is a big step towards throwing off your bigotry. Throwing away clothes is a big step towards accepting your body as it is.

Why are you so afraid to take off your clothes?

Many people have ugly bodies. And the reason that their bodies are ugly is because they did not allow their body to develop naturally. And clothes are a good trick to hide an ugly body. People are afraid of being naked because they know that their bodies are not very beautiful. They don't accept their body.

If you take off your clothes sometimes, it gives you a deep acceptance of your body. And throwing off your clothes will also help your body to become beautiful - because you will start thinking about it. You have not yet seen your own body completely naked, so you do not yet know what you are doing with it - that you eat too much, or that you are undernourished, that you have an unhealthy lifestyle.

It is absolutely wonderful to be naked - it is absolutely wonderful to be naked with friends, it is absolutely wonderful to be naked in the family, with your children, because if the children from the very beginning see the bodies of their parents, they will never become preoccupied. They will never be concerned with anyone's body; they will have a completely different approach. They know that the body is there - they have seen their mother, they have seen their father, their brothers. But even that is impossible.

In a deep love relationship, you need to be naked! - with friends, family. Sometimes this is a huge help; it makes you closer to nature.

But when I say this, you are in your interpretive mind. You don't listen to what I say - you have prejudices and you go on listening through your prejudices. You are deaf. Your prejudices and old ideas are screaming in your mind.

Three nuns were walking down the street. One of them told, showing with her hands what a huge grapefruit she saw in Florida.

Another, also pointing with her hands, described the giant bananas she had seen in Jamaica.

The third nun was a little deaf; they asked: "Which father are we talking about?"

I say one thing - I talk about grapefruit, and you ask: "Which father?" Your mind is filled with garbage. Even if you call these dregs sacred, perhaps -- but dung is dung. Whether you call it sacred manure or not, it doesn't matter. Your brains are full of shit.

And it is precisely because of your mind that you cannot understand me, understand what I am saying. What I am saying is very simple! If you put aside your prejudices, if you put your ideas aside a little and listen quietly, the truth of what I am saying will become apparent.

Everything in nature is naked, except for man. And through your clothes you have become disconnected from nature. Sometimes it is extremely important to lie naked on the beach under the sun, feeling the sand and the sun with your whole body. Sometimes it's incredibly beautiful to dance naked under the stars, again feeling the cosmic rhythm that surrounds you, the vibration of the cosmos.

However, we have made an entirely plastic world. We are not surrounded by divine nature, but by man-made clothing. We do not live among trees, but among huge, gigantic, ugly concrete structures. We are not moving on bare ground, but on asphalt roads, concrete roads.

We have created the world around us, and we have cut ourselves off from nature. We have lost our roots - and this loss of roots is one of the main causes of your unhappiness. You need to take root in the ground again.

The future of humanity will depend on it. We must bring nature back into our lives. When you sit on the bank of a river, that is one thing; and when you sit next to a swimming pool, it's completely different. The swimming pool has no life, it has no flow, it is boring, it is dead. When you are in the mountains, it is a completely different world.

It will be easier for you to understand Pythagoras, and Buddha, and Zorba, and me, if you go to the mountains, to the rivers, to the trees. But the trees will not understand your clothes, the trees will laugh at you.

I heard about a great Zen master. The Japanese emperor went to visit him - he heard that the master walks completely naked. The emperor thought: perhaps he has no clothes - so he ordered to prepare the best clothes that there are. He took luxurious velvet robes and mantles studded with diamonds as a gift to the naked fakir.

The master laughed. He said, "Thanks for the gifts, but you'll have to take them back." The emperor asked: "Why?"

The master said, "You know, I am the only person living here. All my friends are trees, birds and animals; they will laugh at me, they will think that I have gone mad. They are all naked, they understand nakedness. They do not they will understand these luxurious clothes, they will not understand these diamonds, they will not understand all this. And if I put on these clothes, they will not only laugh at me, they will not only make me a laughingstock - they will go away from me. We will lose contact. Please, take your clothes back."

If you live in the mountains and weather permitting, go naked. And it will bring you a new, amazing thrill. New life will rise up in you.

In a pain-perfect world, we will walk naked more often. Clothing is only for comfort, for no other reason. Clothing should only be worn for convenience, for no other reason. There is no morality in clothes!

Fourth question:

Osho, William Blake said: "The path of extremes leads to the palace of wisdom," and again: "Man never knows what is enough until he knows what is too much." It seems to me that the golden mean is the path for those who have already reached the truth, but for the seeker it is the path of cunning and cowardice. Please explain.

William Blake is right. He is one of the greatest mystic poets in the world - he cannot be wrong. He is right when he says: "The path of extremes leads to the palace of wisdom." But the name of the palace of wisdom is "Golden Mean". The path of extremes leads to the golden mean.

And neither I nor Pythagoras say that one must be cunning and cowardly. The only thing that is meant: remember that the goal is the golden mean. Your life already consists of extremes, and this is not the first such life you have. You have long, many, many lives, followed the path of extremes. You have lived long enough - when are you going to wake up?

Haven't you followed the path of extremes? You either eat too much, or you fast; sometimes you indulge yourself, sometimes you limit yourself - everyone does it. If you stopped doing this, you would already be enlightened. Why haven't you become enlightened yet? Because of the extremes.

You go on moving like the pendulum of an old clock - from right to left, from left to right - go on and on. Remember, when you go to one extreme, you gain momentum, build momentum to go to the other extreme. And so it goes on and on... it's a vicious circle.

Pythagoras addressed the seekers; Pythagoras addressed his students, just as I speak to students. A disciple is one who is weary of the ways of this world and wants to have new perspectives, wants to find new understanding.

Yes, Blake is right - but Pythagoras is right too! So far you have lived according to Blake. Now stop this eternal movement in the same vicious circle. The path of extremes leads to the palace of wisdom. Where is this palace of wisdom? And you have been on the path of extremes long enough! You should be here by now. Maybe your life consists of extremes, but it is not conscious.

Be aware of your extremes. Bring awareness into your life and your actions, and little by little you will see that the extremes disappear. The pendulum is not moving so fast, it is slowing down. Its fluctuations are not as great as before the fluctuations are decreasing. And gradually, one day the pendulum will stop exactly in the middle. And when the pendulum stops in the middle, the clock stops, time stops: you enter into eternity.

William Blake is right, but Pythagoras is much more right. William Blake only talks about the path: Pythagoras tells you something about the goal.

And Blake says, "A man never knows what is enough until he knows what is too much." But do you still not know what is too? Think about it. Don't make Blake an excuse - otherwise you're being cunning. Haven't you gone to extremes, constantly moving from one opposite to another? How long do you want to live like this to find out? And just going to extremes, do you think you'll know? You have to bring something: you have to bring contemplation, meditation. And only then can you know what is too much and what is too little.

Meditation brings balance. And balance is music, balance is God.

In the East all the great words by which we call the ultimate are derived from a root which means balance. Samadhi: comes from sam - sam means balance. Sangeet, music, also comes from san, balance. Sambodhi, enlightenment, comes from the self. Sam means balance. Balance is samadhi, balance is enlightenment.

You have lived long enough to know what is enough and what is too much. However, Vivarto, you want to find an excuse to continue the life you have lived up to now.

You say: It seems to me that the golden mean is the way for those who have already reached the truth.

Those who have already reached the truth do not need any path. They have arrived. Don't be smart, don't be diplomatic with me. Do not try to find a way to escape from the truth: The path is not for those who have already arrived - it is obvious. They don't need any path. The path is for those who are not yet pinned.

You say: But for the seeker this is the path of cunning and cowardice.

This is not true. This is the path of awareness, not cunning and cowardice, because being a coward is again one extreme. So-called courage and so-called cowardice are extremes. And cunning is also an extreme: the reverse side of simplicity.

The golden mean is neither courage nor cowardice: it is consciousness. It is neither cunning nor simplicity - it is consciousness. It is always consciousness: the taste of the golden mean is precisely consciousness.

Pythagoras does not say to you: "Cultivate some kind of character." He simply says, "Be vigilant. Watch how you go from one extreme to the other all the time." Watch... and as you watch, you will inevitably find a happy medium. This cannot be learned from anyone. It has to grow out of your own being, it has to be revealed.

Fifth question:

I am very afraid of my wife. Why? There is nothing wrong with her. She is one of the most perfect women you can find.

Our love is always poisoned by fear. The wife is afraid of her husband, the husband is afraid of his wife. Children are afraid of parents, parents are afraid of children. We live in fear. Even in love, fear continues to poison our relationships.

You ask: I am very afraid of my wife.. Why?

And who is not? Have you met a man who is not afraid of his wife? Everyone is afraid - because we do not know how to love without fear.

Love cannot be learned, it is an art. It requires a lot of understanding. You dont love; that's why there is fear. If there is love, it dispels all fear. If there is fear, then it just shows that your love must be fake, it must be something else pretending to be love. Maybe it's lust pretending to be love. Yes, lust willy-nilly is always afraid -- because lust means you are exploiting the woman, you are exploiting the woman. And fear is always there: it may leave you. She may refuse you, she may say no. And because it is only lust, sexual lust, you are always afraid because if she says no, your sexual needs will remain unsatisfied.

And women have become very, very smart about it. The moment they see their husband sexually interested, they retreat. Because they don't want to be used as a tool; they don't want to be made into a commodity! They resist, they fight.

I have heard:

One eighty-year-old man met a woman of his age at the dacha. They fell in love with each other. It couldn't have happened in India - it must have happened in America. In India, even the young do not fall in love. In America, even octogenarians fall in love. Both situations are ugly. A young man who does not fall in love is ugly; an octogenarian who falls in love is ugly. When a young man does not fall in love, it shows that he is not young; and when an old man falls in love, it just shows that he still hasn't matured.

They fell in love, they got married. On the first night, the old man took the old woman by the hand, shaking it lovingly; for a few minutes they held hands and shook hands, and then fell asleep. It was their honeymoon.

The next day the old man shook hands, but not for so long.

On the third day, when he was just about to shake hands with the old lady, she said, "But today my head hurts."

Even shaking hands... Nobody wants to be used. The greatest humiliation in life is to be used. And you are using women - that's why you are afraid. And they keep you at bay. If you use them you will be afraid. If you use them they will torment you in every possible way. They will take revenge.

So it has been until now. You need to understand more about love. Love never uses the other. Love is shared - but the other is not used, never. And then the fear disappears.

In reality, love is not a need, but an excess. When you need someone, you cling. When you cling you are afraid. Clinging always comes from fear - and the other knows that you are clinging, and the other begins to take advantage of the situation. And the other also clings. The wife is afraid that the husband will leave; The husband is afraid that his wife will leave. They are both constantly afraid, jealous, stalking, guarding each other. Husbands and wives become enemies rather than friends.

Mulla Nasreddin was talking to his doctor. Doctor said:

Nasreddin, you know that you are irritable. I guess you don't need to be told what science has discovered - your irritability is caused by a nasty little bacterium.

Mulla Nasreddin said:

For heaven's sake, be quiet. She is sitting in the next room.

Husbands and wives live in fear and relationships are completely poisoned. And since this is one of the most important parts of life, then all life (is ruled by their hell. Children are born from your marriage, and your relationship has already gone rancid, sour. Children will be born and will carry this shadow from the very beginning.

Marriage is the most basic institution. Everything grows from it. It is the very heart of society, the central core. It must be changed. He is ugly. People do not marry for love, but for other reasons - financial, social, religious - there are a thousand and one reasons.

If you love someone, the basic condition is to make the other as free as possible, because only when you make the other free can you yourself be free. And in freedom, fear disappears. Fear is part of slavery.

In the emergency room, a minister - a man who was admitted to the hospital with a bruise under his eye and numerous small abrasions:

No, a traffic accident.

Marriage that exists on earth today is almost a traffic accident. It is not a merging of two existences into a single stream. It's almost a disaster. We must change the very foundation. People should not marry too soon; they should experience as many love relationships as possible before they decide to get married.

The first love is really very important, because it is the first; otherwise it is very dangerous. She is the first, so she is very romantic, but the romance soon fades. It does not become a solid foundation; it will not become your true marriage.

A man, before he decides to marry, must get to know many women. And a woman must know many men. Only then can you choose, only then can you feel who is in tune with you. Only then will you be able to understand with whom you will soar high. However, at all times we did not allow it.

A deep knowledge of other people is necessary before you can bind yourself. And at present, our ideology is still pre-technological. It was dangerous in the past because a woman could get pregnant and it could hurt her, her family, her whole life. That's why there was no question of a man being a virgin before marriage. But for a woman all over the world there was an absolute necessity to be a virgin.

Why this double standard? Why should a woman remain a virgin? And why not a man? They say: Boys are boys... And girls are not girls?

This was simply because there was no technical protection for women. Now there is such protection. After the invention of fire, contraceptives are the greatest discovery in the world. And the greatest revolutionaries are nothing compared to the revolution that contraceptives have made in the world. You may not realize it, but birth control has changed the whole world because it has completely changed sexual morality.

You live in a post-technological era. You don't have to stick to a pre-technological ideology; It's unhealthy. It was needed once, it is no longer needed. It hinders your progress; it's an unnecessary burden. You continue to follow it for no reason and bring unrest into your life.

“Men and women should meet, get to know each other, and there is no need to rush into marriage. Little by little you will learn the art of love, you will learn ways of being with people, and also you will learn to determine with whom you have spiritual intimacy.

Marriage is a spiritual thing, not a physical thing - no, not at all. This is spiritual attunement. When you start feeling with some man or some woman that great music arises, something beyond comes to you - only then fix the relationship. In other cases, there is no need to rush.

You ask me: There is nothing wrong with her.

There is nothing wrong with anyone else in the world. I see a beautiful man and a beautiful woman, and both are beautiful separately. Together, both are ugly. Something is broken; they don't fit together. A man is beautiful, a woman is beautiful, but marriage is ugly. They don't fit together; they are not meant for each other.

And when marriage becomes ugly, they both become ugly, little by little. I have never met an ugly person - all people are beautiful. But they need great relationships to multiply their beauty, to blossom with new colors, new songs.

You say: She is one of the most perfect women you can find.

Perhaps it is - if you say so, I believe you. On the other hand, perfect people are nowhere to be found. Perfect people do not exist. Imperfection is a part of life, a very essential part of it. The moment someone becomes perfect, he starts to disappear from life.

That's why we say that buddhas are never born again - they have become perfect, they don't have to come back. They learned everything that could be learned here on earth; they don't need to incarnate anymore.

You say that your wife is the most beautiful woman you can find. Perhaps she is a moralist, perhaps she is a perfector; and the perfecter and the perfect man are absolutely different phenomena. Improver - neurotic; and neurosis can very easily be hidden behind the striving for improvement. And women tend to become improvers because other forms of domination are not available to them.

For centuries, man has dominated in every other way economically, socially, politically, religiously. He prevailed everywhere. He left no way for the woman to dominate; she was forced to invent her own ways.

All women have become moralists, improvers. This is their strategy, their policy to dominate you. She won't let you smoke cigarettes because it's not good; she won't let you drink - that's not good. She won't let you eat this and that - that's not good. She won't let you do anything! This is her way of dominating you.

If women had access to all the ways in the world to compete with men, they would cease to be improvers. This is what is happening in the West: women have started smoking. They've never done this before; they have always been against the fact that husbands smoke. Now they are smoking. What happened? It was just a way for them to manage.

And remember: perhaps the reason for your fear is that she is a perfector. Perhaps she causes you a huge guilt complex that you are unworthy of her. This is her strategy: beware. This is a very subtle trick to dominate and possess.

The two young men were discussing the usual topic: girls.

I'm looking for a girl, - said one, - who does not drink, does not smoke and does not have other bad habits.

And when you find her, the other guy asked, what are you going to do with her?

If you could find the perfect woman, you would be in a difficult position. She is not human; she will be completely inhuman in her demands. And compared to her, you will be like a worm, ugly. This is a delight for the Puritans, for the moralists.

Your so-called saints enjoy the journeys of the ego. They are ready to sacrifice everything and go to any asceticism just to torment you, to show you that you are ugly, that you are immoral, that you are sinners. Their only joy is to prove that they are saints. And whatever you require, they are ready to fulfill it. Only one thing is required: continue to believe in their holiness. They are ready to do whatever stupidity you require.

There was one Christian saint, and subsequently a large sect formed around him. This saint used to beat himself every morning for his sins. Of course, he was highly respected, and numerous followers gathered. And self-torture became the most important thing in this sect. And the most significant person became the one who could beat himself the most, who could hurt his body, who could torture himself. He became the greatest saint. Well, look at this nonsense.

But people are ready to fast, starve themselves, walk naked in the cold, do everything - if only you honor them, satisfy their ego.

Ego is a very cunning policy. And since women have no other way to dominate, they dominate through perfection. But the most important thing is that you have not yet loved the woman, and you have not allowed the woman to love you either. Ego relationship of fear. And you must also make her afraid: this is your truth. I don't know the other part of the case - its truth. You must be making her afraid too by threatening her in subtle ways. Quit all these games. Life is short and love is precious. Do not miss the opportunity of deep intimate love, because only love opens the door to prayer.

Last question:

Is it true that celibacy was accepted in the church three centuries after the death of Jesus? Does this seem to be the inevitable lot of any church after the death of its master?

Before our time there were such cases. Remember - this should not happen after me. So it was, and there is every possibility that it will happen.

Why is this happening? Why does every life-affirming religion always turn into a life-denying one? There are deep reasons.

When the master is alive, he says yes to life - because he does not need to dominate you at all. He is the master himself; he does not need anyone else to confirm that he is a master. Even if he is alone, he is a master, he is an emperor. He doesn't need followers. He has a treasure, the kingdom of God. His life is a statement, he enjoys, he celebrates. His life is a dance, a song; his life is poetry. In his life there is the fragrance of a flower and the beauty of trees, the silence of mountains and the joy of lovers.

He accepted himself. He recognized his integrity - and in the knowledge of his integrity, everything destructive and negative disappears, is absorbed by the positive. Even "no" becomes "yes". The Master is a nomenclature: God nodded "yes" to him. God bless him.

One day the master leaves and there is a problem. Someone has to be the successor; and if the successor is not enlightened, which is not always the case... This happened to Jesus: the successors were not enlightened. They were great literates, very erudite. They worked hard to build the church. But the church was founded by unenlightened people; the church was built three hundred years later.

In these three hundred years the light has completely disappeared. Now the only way to dominate people was to create a life-denying religion. Only by creating a life-denying religion can a priest rule. Tell people: this is wrong, this is wrong - and the more you say "not", the more you will make them afraid, feel guilty. And when someone feels guilty, it is easy to subdue him.

There is celibacy in almost all religions for one reason: sex is such a powerful force that no one can really succeed in suppressing it. You can succeed by transcending it, but you cannot succeed by suppressing it. So it's a trick to teach people to be celibate knowing they can never succeed. And when they fail again and again, they will feel guilty. When they fail again and again, they will lose confidence in themselves; when they fail again and again, they become hypocrites. And they will know how ugly they are, what great sinners they are. They will know that inside they have one thing, and on the surface - just the opposite.

And the priest can also be sure that people who practice celibacy are forced to look for some other way to satisfy their sexual desires, if not in reality, then at least in fantasies. The priest can be sure - you won't be able to lift your eyes. You will experience shame, and it is your shame that is its strength.

Celibacy denies life. It implies that you are saying no to life because sex is the source of life. And when you say no to life, it's almost impossible to suppress the desire. It keeps coming, over and over again - not from this side, then from that side, it finds its way. It creates perversions. And the perverted person condemns himself more and more.

The parish priest could not resist the pretty girl. She confessed her sins, and that was too much for him. He asked her to go to his room. There he hugged her.

Did the young man do this to you? - he asked.

Yes, father, and even worse, - the girl answered.

Hmm, said the priest. He kissed her. - Did he do that?

And so he did? - the priest passionately squeezed her in his arms.

Yes, father, and worse.

By this time the priest was thoroughly excited. He threw the girl on the carpet and made love to her; breathing heavily, he asked:

Did he manage to do that too?

Yes, father, and even worse, - said the girl.

When he finished with her, he asked:

He did it, and worse? My dear daughter, what is the worst thing he could do?

Ah, - the young girl said timidly, - I will surrender, father, that he gave me gonorrhea.

Your so-called celibates, your so-called monks and priests and fathers, they all have to look for some secret door to life. And I am not saying that there is anything wrong with this search for secret doors. The bad thing is that they locked the front door - there is no need for that. Their hypocrisy is absolutely unnecessary. They should be authentic - because only the authentic person can transcend himself.

Sex can be transcended. And then a completely new quality enters your life. Celibacy arises, but it is not imposed. It's not your effort, it's a gift from God. It comes from a deep knowledge of life - you become more and more mature, and one day, suddenly, sex will seem like child's play to you. This is true. It follows that it is possible only if you are not conscious, when you live in the darkness of unconsciousness.

When some light arises in you and your heart ignites, it begins to disappear, just as darkness disappears when you bring in light. But this is a completely different phenomenon.

In the East we have called it a beautiful name, we have called it brahmacharya. The word brahmacharya cannot be translated as celibacy. Celibacy is the repression of sex: the sex is there, it is boiling within you. Brahmacharya is the transcendence of sex: you have become so mature that the toys you are used to playing with are no longer compatible with your consciousness - they drop by themselves.

The word brahmacharya means to live like God. Literally, it means "to act like God", "to live mercifully like God". This is a completely different phenomenon.

The Master lives with this mercy. But when the master leaves, politicians appear on the scene - competitors who want success, who need to dominate the disciples who want power. And they can only gain power if they start destroying your natural being. Destroy the natural being of man, and he will always be in your power, under your command; he will always be your slave.

Distort the natural existence of any man and he will not be able to keep his freedom. Priests have known this for centuries, used it. This is a completely useless tool.

Geetham, it is true that it was not until three centuries later that celibacy was common among the followers of Jesus. This could not be done for three centuries because people remembered Jesus - the remnants of his fragrance were still hovering around. He was still alive in the hearts of a few people. But gradually the aroma disappears. This happens after every master.

And then a very strange thing happens. After Christ, Christianity arises, which is completely directed against Christ. After the Buddha, Buddhism is born, which is completely contrary to the Buddha. This is the strangest thing in the world.

You can be sure that whatever Christians say, you can be sure a priori that Jesus said the exact opposite of it. The priest is forced to go against the enlightened man, even if he claims to follow him. The priest is a completely different person: his only desire is to dominate. He is a politician in disguise.

It can happen here too - if my sannyasins are not very alert, not very conscious. If you are not persistent in your life-affirmation. With Jesus it could have happened sooner, because what he said was memorized only by ear - it was easy to change it.

Whatever I say, it will not be preserved by oral tradition. It will be here. And I speak so clearly that it is almost impossible to distort it. Not that you can throw out any suggestion here or there. You must burn all my books - only then can you distort my life-affirming teaching.

I affirm life in all its fullness. In all its fullness, life is good, it is sacred, divine.

Zorba is the foundation and Buddha is the palace. The Buddha is the peak, but the foundation stones lie on the Zorba. It would be foolish to choose to be a Buddha without a foundation.

I am absolutely clear on this: there must be a Zorba, and the stronger the Zorba, the greater the opportunity for a Buddha. So, in order for me to become a Buddha at any moment, Zorba is absolutely necessary as the basic energy from which a Buddha will be created. A zorba is a marble stone from which a statue of the Buddha is to be carved. I choose a stone... and Buddha is easy. It is just a matter of opening your eyes. I'm not worried about Buddha, I'm worried about people who are not Zorbs. How can they become a Buddha? They do not have the basic material from which the Buddha is made.

And this poverty was imposed on people by religious leaders. They told us not to be materialists. They told us to abstain from sex. They told us to live in poverty. They told us that life came from sin. All these things destroyed their Zorba. Otherwise, every person would be born a Greek Zorba.

And if everything goes my way, every man will die like Zorba the Buddha. There is not much distance between a Greek and a Buddha, but first you have to be a Greek.

osho, The Last Testament, Vol 2, Talk No. 19

I named this new man Zorba the Buddha

First I taught you trust, cordiality, feelings, love, and now I teach you doubt, skepticism, reason, intelligence because I want you to be whole people. You can be completely satisfied with trust and cordiality alone, but you will not be a whole person. I would not call Mira a whole person, I would not call Ramakrishna a whole person. They are beautiful, but lack intelligence, they are completely in the heart. Too much sugar leads to diabetes. I am diabetic. Too much heart, too much sweetness and you are diabetic, and I don't want you to be diabetic. Yes, just by living from the heart, you will get spiritual diabetes. The mind is salty, sharp, it is not always sugar...

I would like you to enjoy the wholeness of your being when your body, your heart, your mind are all in tune. I called it a new man - Zorba-Buddha.

osho, From Personality to Inpiduality, Talk No. 13

Nothing to choose, nothing to discard

Kozhi wrote:

Nothing to choose, nothing to discard.

That's what I mean by Zorba the Buddha: don't choose anything. Buddha chose: he chose to leave the world, he chose to leave his wife and child and old father, he chose to run away, instead of facing the world and facing reality. It was an absolutely clear choice against the world, against the material, in favor of the spiritual.

The man of totality chooses nothing. His life is a life without choice. Do not choose anything, do not discard anything, because these are two sides of the same coin. If you have chosen something, then you will have to discard something.

osho, No Mind: The Flowers of Eternity, Talk #12

Zorba is just the beginning

I would like this Zorba man to live in everyone, because this is your natural heritage.

But you don't have to stop at Zorba.

Zorba is just the beginning. Sooner or later, if you allow your Zorba complete freedom of expression, you will inevitably begin to think about something better, higher, more significant. It will not be a product of thinking, it will come from your experience - because these little experiences will bore you.

The Buddha himself became a Buddha because he lived the life of a Zorba.

osho, beyond Enlightenment, Talk No. 7

Silence will become a song

Zorba loves to sing, play his musical instruments, and dance. Buddha will make it perfect, perfect. Even silence will become a song, even stones will become a sermon, and whatever you touch will become a musical instrument, because your hands will now have the magic of the whole existence, they will be graceful, beautiful, poetic...

osho, Beyond Enlightenment, Talk #20

A whole person is only a holy person

If we want a whole person - and for me a whole person is only a holy person - then Zorba must realize the Buddha. They must become one. And I don't see what to worry about. Zorba plus Buddha will be a huge enrichment.

Buddha cannot laugh, cannot dance, cannot sing, cannot love. Then what will life be like? Empty!

Zorba can sing, dance, enjoy food, drink, love. He will live, but he does not know who he is. He will not know the meaning of existence. He will never come to the experience of the immortality of life, the boundless experience of human consciousness. There is nothing beyond this; you have arrived home.

But I don't see any problem here, no contradiction. You can come home, you can be at your center - what prevents you from laughing? In fact, you must be the only ones who can really laugh, can become laughter, who can really love can become love - where the lover disappears and only love remains: the one who can dance and dances so selflessly that the dancer absolutely disappears, only dance.

This is my effort: to bring Zorba the Buddha into the world.

It creates unity in you; your body and soul will be one. You will not fight your nature, you will use it as stepping stones. No need to fight, no need to repress. All mental illness is from suppression. All psychopathological people are incurable unless they accept their nature totally, without enmity. You can use your natural energy to grow. It will bring totality to man.

All religions have made you schizophrenics, divided; this is the whole business. They call people to go to church, go to synagogue, go to temple; otherwise they are not needed. If you are alone, you will prefer to dance outdoors under the sun. This will be your real prayer. There is nothing to say, nothing to ask, and you express your gratitude to existence.

Zorba-Buddha will not only destroy division in man, he will destroy division in society.

osho, From Bondage to Freedom, Talk #13

Among fortune-telling online on Tarot cards, Osho's instant alignment is separately distinguished. Zen and Tarot are not as distant concepts as it might seem at first glance. They are united by a multi-layered symbolism and a philosophical approach to reading signs, that is, one in which a person receives not a clear guide to action, but hints of the direction of movement. Both Zen and Tarot seek to expand the consciousness of the fortuneteller and push him to find new ways to solve his problems, that is, they are potentially a more universal way to find out the answers to questions and put them into practice than classical fortune telling.

Components of the layout

Let's define the basic concepts for a better reading of instant Tarot layouts: Osho, Zen and Zorba-Buddha. All of them come from Asia and are interconnected. Zen (Sanskrit for "contemplation") is one of the main varieties of Buddhism, originally from China, where Zen came from India. If we consider the term broadly, then Zen is the doctrine of enlightenment through mystical contemplation.

Osho (Hindi for "dissolved in the ocean") is an Indian mystic and spiritual leader. He preached a life of complete immersion, but without attachment to the world, as well as freedom from the ego and the pursuit of enlightenment. Osho received controversial assessments of his activities during his lifetime and was even expelled from the United States and became persona non grata in 21 countries around the world, but after his death he received new recognition as one of the most important spiritual teachers in India and his generation.

Osho defined Zen as follows:

I call Zen the only living religion because it is not a religion, but religiosity itself. Everything is sacred to Zen.

Zen is the state when the disease has disappeared; and, of course, along with the disease - and medicines.

And, finally, Zorba-Buddha is a characteristic of a person, invented by Osho himself. It consists of two key definitions:

  1. Zorba is a simple person who lives "here and now", making no distinction between spirit and matter, opposites.
  2. A Buddha is one who was able to achieve enlightenment. This is a person living his last incarnation, as he was able to go through all the necessary transformations in the thousands of lives that he has already lived.

So, Zorba-Buddha is a symbiosis of a person free from prejudice, with an open view of the world, and an enlightened person. This is how Osho saw the man of the new generation:

It turns out that the instant Zen Tarot alignment should be interpreted with an open mind, free from stereotypes and fears. The more open the fortuneteller, the more correctly he will understand the answer to his question. And by the way, any question can be asked to this type of instant Tarot.

Single card layout

The easiest and fastest divination option is instant Tarot with one card. For the alignment, you need to focus on your question, formulate it as clearly as possible. If possible, you can even close your eyes and imagine an exciting situation, then shuffle the deck and draw one card. It will answer the question.

Example 1

For the question “Is it worth taking on a new job now?” the card “XXI Completeness” came, its meaning is: “Everything that distracted you leaves and gives way to a new one. Use this break to celebrate one accomplishment and welcome another." You should pay attention to the difference in the interpretation of the card in the meaning of Tarot and Osho:

It is difficult to immediately get used to his language and understand how to apply what was said to the subject of divination, that is, to the request. But if you read it, you can still find the meaning: according to Osho, the answer to the question “is it worth taking on a new job” is for a person to answer it himself, so that he makes a decision on his own. Because "only having reached the extreme point, it will be seen what's next." And this peak can be comprehended both by not working and rolling back, and by working, reaching the next result. In any case, the extreme point that Osho speaks of will be reached, from where the path further will become visible.

He separately says that the master only indicates the direction, and does not give specific answers. This is precisely where freedom manifests itself through the expansion of consciousness. The fortuneteller ceases to be led and gets the opportunity to decide and move independently, that is, takes responsibility. At the same time, Osho removes the excessive potential that a person may feel with the need to choose for himself. He says that when the world ends, there will be nothing left. That is, the decision to be made (and whatever it may be) is a component of the illusory world. It is not as important as it might seem at first.

Divination Tarot three lasso

Another popular alignment is the present, past and future. The Tarot deck lies in even rows on the table. You need to mentally ask a question, choose any three cards and turn them over. This alignment answers the request, with one card explaining the influence of the past on the current situation, the second - the influence of the present, the third - predicting the final result.

Example 2

To the question “How will the situation with a loved one in my life?” the following cards fell out: "Movement with the flow" - the past, "Rebel" - the present, "Harmony" - the future. Again, attention should be paid to two different, but complementary, ways of reading the card:

In simple terms, this means that in the past a person went with the flow and thus resolved his issue in relation to the opposite sex. And so it should continue. Do not worry, because the stream itself will take out where it needs to be. Moreover, there is no need to be “stagnant water”. And it is better to strive for depth, to constantly move.

Translating into an understandable language, we can say that both cards speak of a strong person in the present and that one must remain so in order to get what one wants. According to Osho, rather, it reveals the character of a person, but does not give any recommendations, which is also a classic approach in Zen.

In the end result, the card promises to achieve harmony, which has already been born in the person who made the request. She recommends acting from the heart, being simple and natural.

So, for the Zen Tarot layout, you need to ask not closed questions (the answer is “yes” and “no”), but open ones, as shown in the examples above. For a more accurate answer, you can become like Zorba the Buddha, instant fortune telling will then be even more effective, and cards with their meanings will be clearer.

Zen Tarot cards are able to explain the past, present and future, as well as indicate the direction of further movement. It only takes a little practice and immersion in Zen philosophy to read them correctly.

Let's talk about how to make an instant alignment on the Zen Tarot Osho. This deck is quite unusual, so fortune-telling on it has its own characteristics. There are 78 cards in total with 22 major arcana and 56 minor arcana of four suits. If you are interested in self-knowledge, choose this deck.

The essence of the alignment is not to get a clear answer: "Yes" or "No" to the question that interests you. On the contrary, ask open-ended questions and the cards will give a very complete prediction that may surprise you.

What are the features of fortune telling on this unusual deck:

  • The cards do not predict the future. They will help you understand yourself and understand what your thoughts, feelings and actions have become the source of problems and situations that need to be resolved.
  • Osho believed that the truth lies "in the moment", and a person builds the future himself. Therefore, the cards will indicate in which direction to move, what to pay attention to in order to develop awareness.
  • The cards will tell you everything about the state of mind of the fortuneteller, penetrate into the essence of the unconscious, literally “reveal” everything that prevents you from achieving success and moving forward.

The Osho deck is a tool for those who seek self-knowledge and believe that thoughts and feelings lead to everything that happens in life.

Spread example

Let's say you drew the "Experience" card when you did an instant spread.

What does it mean:

  • According to the name of the card, the fortuneteller at the current moment of time is not in his best state of mind. He is worried, he is literally covered with emotions, he is unable to get rid of the experiences that prevent him from assessing the situation rationally.
  • Arcane tip: abstract from sad thoughts and learn to enjoy the moment, draw happiness in the present.
  • You should learn to fill yourself with only positive experiences. Pay attention to the beauty of the world around you, draw energy from the forces of nature. This will help you deal with negative situations in the right way.
  • Stop and think about what brings you happiness. Look into the eyes of your loving child, man, mother, friend. Just touch the earth, water, wood. God is love, find him and get the strength to move on.

The alignment on one card is always quite difficult to interpret. Therefore, if the prediction seems ambiguous, take out one more lasso from the deck - it will complement the interpretation and help you better understand it.

Important Points

In order for the prediction and advice of the arcana to be correct, pay attention to some details.

In the description of the meanings of the arcana, you will definitely find some images, symbols, incomprehensible words. How to interpret them:

  • Zorba Buddha in Osho Zen Tarot is a symbol of perfection, self-knowledge, awareness, realization, tranquility, wisdom and, most importantly, compassion.
  • The praying mantis is the personification of playfulness. The state in which your “inner child” turns on. It is in this state that a person falls in love, plays, dreams, comes up with ways to realize the most, at first glance, unrealizable goals.
  • Headless is a state beyond the mind. This is the moment when you turn off your brain and start listening to the signals of your own soul.
  • The suits are the minor arcana, which are called Clouds, Fire, Water and Rainbow.

It is worth understanding a little about the features of the four suits of the Osho Zen Tarot deck:

  1. The suit of Fire - corresponds to the Wands of the traditional deck. A symbol of energy and power that fills a person and gives him the strength to move forward.
  2. The suit of Water - corresponds to the Cups of classic decks. A symbol of emotions, feelings, processes occurring in the unconscious of a person.
  3. The suit of the Clouds corresponds to the Swords. We personify the mind, but the mind is not enlightened. This is naked rationalism, reason without a drop of soul. It is necessary, but you also need to be able to listen to the signals of your subconscious.
  4. The suit of the Rainbow corresponds to the Pentacles. This is good, divine energy and love, without which spiritual development is impossible. It is food for growth and success in everything.

Why do tarologists use the Osho deck?

Currently, divination on classic tarot decks is more popular. Osho's charts are significantly different.

Their purposes may be as follows:

  • Cards teach a person to live "in the moment", not thinking about the past and not torturing himself with thoughts of the future. This is mindfulness training - when you learn to be happy this second and constantly return to the current moment.
  • The suit of the Clouds is very important - this is an unenlightened mind that prevents you from transforming reality and becoming happy. It is necessary not to allow the “state of the Clouds” into your consciousness so that there are no negative consequences in reality.
  • In interpretation, it is equally important to learn to abstract from your own thoughts and feelings, fears and fears in order to see the true meaning of the cards that appeared in the layout.

It is advisable to do an instant alignment every day - this will be an extra reminder of how important the current moment is. From Osho's point of view, he is life itself.

Questions for the alignment

An important condition for the layout is to ask those questions that require a detailed answer. Do not ask when this or that event will happen. It is better to find out what needs to be done in order for it to happen with the result you need.

Therefore, the question should be formulated in this way: seek to know the causes, not the timing. And always remember that the responsibility for everything that happens in your life is only on you, none of those around you can be involved in this.

Instant layout can also be done on classic decks. But it is Osho's cards that help to get the most complete picture, to penetrate into the essence of things, objects and phenomena. You will not know the future, but you will understand how to behave in order to build it correctly.
