How to use email correctly. How does email work? Mode and frequency of operation

    Drafts are letters written but not sent.
    Spam is unsolicited email, usually of an advertising nature. If you send a letter to spam, then all subsequent letters from this author will also fall into spam, bypassing the page with unread letters.
    Recycle bin is a page with deleted messages.

    With further use, incoming letters will be replenished. Up to 25 letters can fit on the page, if there are more letters, a transition to other pages will appear. To go to an old message on another page, you need to find a link under the messages to go to other pages and select the one you need.

    Create a custom mailing routine and follow it. It is better to do this in the morning (and also before the end of the working day), but you should start not with checking letters, but with completing some priority task or. Time for reading and sending e-mail should be limited and try to stick to these limits. After completion - close the client and do not return to it, checking for new incoming. When working with mail, do only it, do not be distracted by other tasks. Also remember that surfing links from e-mail can easily turn the processing into a time trap.     E-mail is more convenient than telephone communication and regular correspondence. You can send a message at any time of the day or night. If the recipients are not sitting at their computers and not online (not connected to the Internet) when they send the message, they will find the messages later when they check their mail. If they are connected to the Internet, you can get a response from them in a few minutes.

    Sending email is also free. Compared to regular mail, no stamp or fee is needed, and it doesn't matter where the recipient lives. You have to pay only for the connection to the Internet and, sometimes, for the e-mail program used.

    Three things are needed to work with e-mail.

    • 1 Internet connection. To connect your computer to the Internet, you must first subscribe to an Internet service provider. The ISP provides Internet access, usually for a monthly fee. You will also need a device called a modem.
    • 2 E-mail program or web-based e-mail services. You can download or purchase an email program from Microsoft or another vendor.     Consider the order in which email messages are read

    6. Chain of letters

    7. Sign letters

    Let's try using an example to start mail on Google. At the top of the site, find and click "Mail", a new window will appear to enter the mail and your account. Since you don't have a Google mail yet, press the red button in the upper right corner - "Create an account". Next, personal data is filled in - first name, last name, username, password, gender, date of birth, mobile phone, alternate mail address. create it yourself, it must be unique (if there is already a user with such a login, the system will warn you and ask you to enter a different name), consist of Latin letters, the length of the name is from 6 to 30 characters. Keep in mind that if you are going to conduct business correspondence via e-mail, then you should come up with and choose more discreet logins.

    Next, you need to enter a password for the mail. It should be sufficiently reliable, preferably containing uppercase and symbols and numbers, and at least 8 characters long. Enter the password again to confirm it.

    Your date of birth must be entered on this site in order to be able to access materials appropriate to your age. The fact is that a Google account allows you to have access to services such as Gmail (mail), YouTube (video portal) and Google+ (social network). You can set your account so that no one sees your age.

    Gender, as well as mobile phone number is filled in at the discretion of the user.

    To register mail, it remains only to prove that you are a real person (and not a robot), and enter the indicated Latin letters on the keyboard. This does not mean that you must immediately respond to all messages that require a response, or write all the emails that you planned to send within 15 minutes.     Create subfolders for each folder. The "Personals" folder may contain correspondence with people important to you.
