Plastic cabinets for built-in appliances. Calculation of the box for the oven and hob. Negative sides of alignment

In traditional kitchen ovens, the oven is combined with the hob. But not all housewives are satisfied with this option for organizing the workspace. To make the cooking process as convenient as possible, and the kitchen interior to be stylish and compact, special furniture is used to build in ovens.

Features and benefits of a kitchen with a built-in oven

An oven cabinet is a structure designed for installing an oven in it. It can both be part of furniture set or purchased separately.

The advantages of a kitchen interior with a built-in oven include:

  • external appeal - such an interior looks much more elegant than a kitchen with a conventional oven;
  • saving useful space;
  • the ability to organize a "working triangle" (cooking area) as it is convenient for the owners of the house;
  • practicality - such furniture often combines several functions at once. For example, it can serve as a storage system.

But such a solution also has features that must be taken into account when choosing:

  • the cost of built-in appliances complete with furniture is higher than traditional;
  • in the event of a rearrangement or failure of equipment, problems may arise: the oven will have to be changed along with the cabinet, since it will be difficult to find a structure that is suitable in size - usually the furniture is selected for the equipment, and not vice versa.

Types of designs of kitchen cabinets for built-in ovens

Two types of furniture are used for embedding equipment:

  • floor stands;
  • cabinets-pencil cases.

The curbstone for the built-in oven allows you to place it at a height of no more than 20 cm from the floor. For most housewives, this is a familiar option.

A cabinet for an oven involves placing equipment on one of its shelves and has the following advantages:

  • allows you to set the oven at an optimal height;
  • makes it possible to make it inaccessible to small children;
  • ideal for people who have a hard time bending over.

Pencil cases are not suitable for cramped kitchens - they look too bulky there. In this case, it is better to choose a higher base cabinet.

Depending on the shape, the furniture for the oven can be:

  • straight line - in the form of a rectangle. Typically, such designs are part of the furniture composition of the headset;
  • angular - they are made in the form of triangles or trapezoids and allow you to install equipment in the corner.

Particular attention should be paid to the material from which the cabinet is made. It must not only withstand the impressive weight of the equipment, but also be heat-resistant and safe for humans.

For the manufacture of structures for the oven use:

  • Chipboard - it is inexpensive and does not have high performance properties;
  • MDF is a higher quality material. Furniture from it turns out to be durable and does not deform under the influence of steam;
  • natural wood is a material that requires special care. It is used for the production of oven cabinets on rare occasions.

For the manufacture of rear walls and bent facade elements, fiberboard or plywood are used.

The material itself and its coatings must not contain toxic synthetic substances: under the influence of heat, they enter the air and can cause serious poisoning.

How to choose a cabinet for the oven - what requirements should be presented

Built-in ovens can be:

  • gas;
  • electric.

Gas ovens are more expensive, but they pay off faster - gas is cheaper than electricity. However, the heat is not distributed so evenly in them and some foods are not baked.

In any case, the furniture must be equipped with a ventilation system - a grate or special openings. Some models are available without a back panel.

Electric models are not economical and require high-quality wiring, but the dishes are cooked in them evenly, for which they have received the recognition of most housewives.

It is important to choose the right size for your furniture. If this is an oven cabinet, then its height is usually from 65 to 80 cm.

Depending on the design, this parameter includes:

  • the height of the oven box - 59.5 or 60 cm (standard);
  • the height of the legs / basement - 10-12 cm;
  • countertop thickness - 2-4 cm;
  • drawer height - 10-20 cm.

The depth of the cabinet is from 50 to 65 cm, depending on the model of the built-in appliances. Of these, about 10-13 cm is the overlap of the countertop on the body, which is necessary for the stable placement of the oven. Width varies from 50 to 120 cm.

The sizes of kitchen cabinets are more variable, their depth and width are identical to the parameters of the pedestals, and the height can be from 160 to 220 cm.

The oven module should always be larger than the equipment itself in order to ensure free air circulation.

What can be combined in a cabinet for a built-in oven

A cabinet for a built-in oven can combine the functions of other household appliances:

  • Microwave ovens (microwave ovens);
  • hobs.

An oven with a microwave function has gained wide popularity due to its practicality and convenience. It allows you to use the oven as a microwave oven, and modern models are equipped with other operating modes - for example, defrosting, grilling, baking.

Structurally, this technique is an oven equipped with a magnetron - a microwave generator.

Any oven can be combined with a hob. There are two options for this technique:

  • dependent set - in it the cabinet and the panel have a common control system;
  • independent - in this case, the oven and the panel are purchased separately.

The dependent kit looks stylish and harmonious, but is inferior to the independent one in practicality - in case of a breakdown, the entire structure fails. In addition, in the latter case, there is a choice of technology that meets the needs of the hostess.

Additional equipping of oven cabinets - storage and opening systems

Oven furniture can be used to store kitchen utensils.

For floor pedestals, the storage system is represented by an upper or lower drawer of limited height. Because of this, only certain items can be stored in it. For example, pans and baking sheets.

A pencil case has more possibilities for organizing a storage system - in it it can be represented by open shelves, drawers and compartments with doors.

Usually the oven is built in the middle of the structure, so the storage compartment is located at the bottom or at the top.

In the closed sections of the cabinet-case, various types of door opening mechanisms are used:

  • swing doors - the simplest: the doors are hinged and open "towards themselves";
  • folding - horizontal system on hinges: open up or down;
  • lifting - open with gas lifts.

Rules for placing an oven cabinet in a kitchen set

In order for the oven cabinet to harmoniously fit into the interior of the kitchen, to be convenient and safe to use, observe the following recommendations when placing it:

  • follow the rule of the "working triangle" - a space bounded by three points: an oven, a sink and a refrigerator. The total amount of its sides should not exceed 6 meters;
  • select a comfortable vehicle height. The best option- from 20 to 80 cm above floor level;
  • do not place the oven close to the refrigerator: this can lead to damage to one of the appliances;
  • the distance between the sink and the oven should be less than 45 cm. to avoid short circuits;
  • the gas oven should be located no further than 1.2 m from the pipe - the longer the hose, the less reliable it is;
  • think over the opening area. It should allow you to freely pull the baking sheet out of the oven.

Stages and rules for installing an oven in a kitchen set

Installation of a built-in oven consists of several stages:

  • testing equipment for operability by connecting to the network;
  • installation of the cabinet in the right place;
  • checking the wiring - it must have a sufficient level of resistance and be grounded. It is desirable to have a circuit breaker that is triggered by voltage drops;
  • if the oven is gas, check the pipes. They must be intact, without damage;
  • placing the oven in the furniture niche. If the cabinet is equipped with a back wall, then holes for wires must be made in it;

Currently, the vast majority of kitchen sets are designed with, therefore, understanding the design of such modules is very important.

The box we are considering has two constant dimensions:

  • This is its width, which is 600mm.
  • And, which is also equal to 600mm (sometimes, the opening is designed with a height of 595mm).

Only the size of the lower drawer with a facade depends on the total height of the box.

The dimensions of the niche for the installation of the equipment we are considering can always be found in the instructions for it.

Let's calculate the details of the module:

Horizon - 600 by 460 (mm) - 1pc.

Side - 870-28-100-16 = 726 (mm), where 28mm is the thickness of the table top, 100mm is the distance from the box to the floor (height of the supports), 16mm is the thickness of the lower horizon.

  • Side - 726 by 460 - 2 pcs.
  • Horizon 2 - 600-32 = 568 (mm), where 32mm is the thickness of the two sides of the box.
  • Horizon 2 - 568 by 460 - 1 pc.
  • Body strip - 568 per 100 - 1pc.

A few words should also be said about the housing strip.

In this case, it is designed alone, and, moreover, it is located 10mm below the upper edge of the side ().

This is done so that when using a tabletop 28mm thick, it is normally attached to the tabletop and does not rest against the bar itself (sometimes the dimensions of this technique can go beyond the dimensions of the tabletop in height).

By the way, I often met training materials on the network, where the body strip is not designed at all in the box we are considering.

I think this approach is not correct, since this bar maintains the distance between the sides of the module, and it is necessary in any case.

We calculate the facade for the drawer at the bottom

The height dimension that it overlaps is:

870-28-100-600 = 142 (mm), where 100mm is the height of the adjustable supports, 600mm is the inner opening of the box.

You also need to know that the depth of the oven is as follows, then with the back "overlap" of the countertops on the box of 100 mm (namely, this (and more) size should be given on kitchens that include such modules), in the projection of the oven (on the wall ) there should be nothing (sockets, pipes, etc.), since the cabinet may simply not “fit” into the box.

The photo shows an option when there are sockets on the part of the wall visible in the opening, which then had to be removed. Therefore, these problems need to be solved even at the design stage of the kitchen, and not when it is almost installed. Also, you need to take into account the evenness of the floors. If they are not even, then the lower modules will be adjusted, and accordingly, the position of the projection of the opening of our box on the wall will change.

All this must be taken into account.

Such modules can also be designed in such a way that they are not from below, but from above, but we will talk about that.

That's all.

See you in the following articles.

The built-in oven is a very convenient model. Not everyone is happy with the option when the oven is located under the hob: especially when both units need to be turned on at the same time. The independent model can be placed anywhere and at any height.

Product dimensions

The production of ovens was started by foreign companies. This noticeably affected the dimensions of the product.

The standard width of models is considered to be 90–120 cm. This corresponds to the European concept of comfort.

  • However, the standards of Russian kitchen sets are completely different. Here is the cabinet for the oven and hob has a width of 60 cm. In this case, the manufacturers of devices gave way and began to produce models with the corresponding width. For example, the well-known manufacturer of household goods Ikea.

In order to ensure ease of installation, the width of the oven should be reduced by 1–2 cm.

  • Today you can find very miniature built-in models - with a width of 45 cm and a height of 60 cm. However, these are rather test samples. As a rule, even with a width of 45 cm, the height remains the standard - 85 cm.
  • The depth in most products is 50–55 cm.

The cabinet under the built-in oven is usually equipped with a drawer for storing baking trays, dishes and other things.

Materials and tools

A do-it-yourself oven cabinet is a very real task. There are no particular difficulties here. To make it you will need the following:

  • plywood or laminated chipboard 16–18 mm thick;
  • a worktop with a thickness of 28 mm or more;
  • legs;
  • furniture confirmations, dowels and screws;
  • guides;
  • electric drill;
  • joiner's glue.

Kitchen cabinet calculations

As a rule, the instructions for the oven contain data not only on the dimensions of the model itself, but also on the requirements for the installation niche. This should be used in the calculations.

The cabinet for the oven has dimensions equal to the parameters of the installation niche plus the thickness of the material used. In fact, it is a box with a double bottom - horizons 1 and 2 and a horizontal bar at the top - a body bar. The latter is required for the normal fastening of the hob to the worktop. In addition, this part maintains the distance between the sidewalls, which is also important.

First, you need to make calculations, then the following parts are cut out of the chipboard or MDF sheets:

  • sidewalls - the sum of the height of the niche, the thickness of the table top and the height of the legs - 2 pcs;
  • horizon - that is, the bottom, the dimensions are exactly equal to the parameters of the installation niche - depth and width - 2 pcs;
  • body strip - its length is equal to the width of the niche, and its own width does not exceed 100 mm.

The back wall of the drawer, as a rule, is not included in the detailing: it is made from fiberboard scraps. Usually its height does not exceed 100 mm.

Drawer parts are calculated using the residual method. This is easy to do:

  • the height of the facade is equal to the difference in the height of the kitchen cabinet, the height of the legs and the thickness of the first horizon. The facade does not cover it due to the peculiarities of the installation of the oven. Width corresponds to 60 cm minus 3 mm. As a rule, there is no handle here: to make it more convenient to use, a notch is made on the second horizon;
  • the side parts are equal in length to the depth of the cabinet minus the gaps, and in height - to the distance between the two horizons minus the gaps;
  • the length of the back wall takes into account the thickness of both sides and the thickness of the rails.

Chipboard or MDF can be cut to size in the workshop: professional equipment the pattern will take much less time, and the accuracy is guaranteed. In addition, in most cases, parts are trimmed here - they close the ends with a melamine strip. Otherwise, the operation will have to be done by hand.

Assembling the product

The kitchen cabinet for the oven and the hob is assembled for confirmation or dowels. The fastening of the latter is duplicated with glue. Holes for them are drilled in advance.

Mounting on self-tapping screws is allowed.

  1. First you need to assemble the box itself - the sidewalls and horizontals.
  2. Then fix the housing strip by lowering it 10 mm from the edge of the sidewall.
  3. The legs must be attached to the bottom of the product with self-tapping screws.
  4. If it is decided to make a drawer, then, before installing the first horizon, guides are attached to the walls - hinged or telescopic.
  5. Install the back wall.
  6. Assemble the product and install it on the guides.

Do-it-yourself cabinet for the oven is ready. In the photo you can see a product that is in no way inferior even to famous brands, like Ikea.

For every housewife, the kitchen is a special place in an apartment or house. Culinary delights are brought to life in the kitchen, so it is very important that it is practical and convenient. When choosing a headset, we rarely think about it. Most often we are interested in the aesthetic side. But in vain. to be comfortable and multifunctional, and only then will you want to cook and spend most of your time on it. for the kitchen looks monolithic with the interior.

Today they are very popular. This concept is understood as capable of organically accommodating all household appliances. In other words, the kitchen is located in specially designated places in the headset, which gives the impression of being built-in. It does not stand out from the general level due to integration. Thanks to this, the kitchen becomes more convenient and the space increases.

Characteristic

Built-in kitchens are popularly called architectural. They look attractive and unobtrusive. Working in such a kitchen does not create a feeling of "excess" of appliances, as they are organically built into the main set.

Headsets of various configurations are on sale today. They differ in design, color and instrument set. But regardless of this, each headset has:

  1. Built-in oven.
  2. Refrigerator.
  3. Plate.
  4. Dish washing machine.
  5. Hood.

You can hide any equipment in the headset

This minimal set is indispensable in the kitchen. But this is not enough for many, so they additionally build in the following technique:

  • Food processor.
  • Built-in microwave.
  • Deep fat.
  • Coffee making machine.
  • Chest.
  • Toaster.

This is not a definitive list. The number of built-in appliances is not limited. It all depends on the wishes of the person and his needs.

For the kitchen, it is placed throughout the headset. Refrigerator, washing machine and other heavy vehicles are placed in the bottom row. And items such as a built-in microwave oven, TV or coffee maker can be placed on top shelves. Placement depends on the weight of the item and the need to use it.

Built-in kitchen appliances allow you to free up space and use space rationally. She looks sleek and stylish.

And countertops. The misconception that the built-in kitchen is not functional. If desired, pull-out tables that serve as work surfaces, built-in ovens, cabinets and shelves fit into such a set.

Varieties of built-in headsets

Corner option saves space and is very practical

The good thing about an architectural kitchen is that the built-in kitchen appliances are not "striking". Such kitchens are convenient both in small spaces and in large rooms. Depending on the area, the type of headset is also selected:

  1. Angular.
  2. Single row.
  3. Double row.
  4. Rounded.

Corner set looks organic in combined kitchens - living rooms. But they are also suitable for indoor use. small size... In such designs, cupboards are placed in the corner zone at the top, and the sink is at the bottom. Basic kitchen appliances are placed on either side for symmetry.

Single row headsets are convenient for large spaces. This kitchen set with built-in appliances allows you to expand the dining area. The sink is located in the middle of the structure, the refrigerator and the cabinet for the built-in oven are on the sides. These two objects cannot be placed side by side. During operation, they interfere with each other: the oven emits heat, so the refrigerator works harder and vice versa.

In double-row sets, the freezer or refrigerator is placed parallel to the sink and the hob.

A rounded headset is considered the most comfortable. But in order for this to be so, it is worth remembering that the rear panel of the structure must be more than 2.5 m, and the side panels must be at least 1.5 m.

Rounded stylish design can be combined in any interior

Original design solution- a headset with an "island". An "island" refers to an object that serves as a work or dining place. Such kitchens are often installed in large rooms for the purpose of zoning the space. An “island” is a design demarcation element that helps to divide the space into zones. Often the bar serves as an "island". Many models of "islands" provide for the presence of an additional pull-out table top for cutting food. If necessary, the table top slides in and is invisible to the eye. Such "islands" easily accommodate built-in coffee makers, toasters and other small household appliances.

Disadvantages and advantages

The advantages of built-in furniture:

  1. One complete set. There are no gaps and gaps between the construction items.
  2. Replacing a standard gas or electric stove with hob... This is a huge plus. Not everyone uses ovens, so this space is used as desired.
  3. Design solution. Built-in furniture is made to order. Therefore, it will clearly fit into the parameters and design of the room. Correctly selected built-in appliances in the kitchen complement the style of the interior.
  4. Attractive appearance... Appliances and furniture located on the same level look perfect.
  5. Convenience. This applies to both cooking and cleaning or washing furniture. Dirt does not get into the cracks, you do not have to lift furniture under the built-in appliances for cleaning the floor, move the microwave and much more.
  6. The kitchen for built-in appliances is ergonomic. The space not cluttered with household appliances allows you to cook more conveniently and calmly. Rational placement of equipment saves time.

Household appliances and furniture - an organic whole

In order to avoid disappointment regarding such a headset, all the details of placement and layout are thought out in advance, because then they cannot be changed.

Flaws:

  1. Moving a household appliance to another place will not work if the desire arises. This will leave empty space in the furniture.
  2. These types of headsets and built-in appliances are expensive. Their cost is higher than ordinary kitchen furniture, so not everyone can afford to buy them.
  3. Built-in kitchen furniture difficult to give in repair work... If one of the structures breaks down, you will have to untwist half of the headset to replace it. And to replace broken equipment, you will have to unscrew the built-in kitchen tables and shelves.
  4. Difficulty in replacing a similar item of construction. In the event of a breakdown of the "part" of the furniture, you will have to replace it with a similar part. The replacement will have to be made to order based on the design parameters.

Buying built-in furniture

There are two options for becoming the owner of a built-in headset:

  1. Order the manufacture of premises and wishes.
  2. Buy a standard headset.

An order or a ready-made version - it's up to you

If everything is clear with custom-made furniture, then when buying a standard headset, we pay attention to:

  • There is no need to buy furniture and household appliances separately. The latter may not fit in size. Before choosing, we measure the parameters of equipment and compare them with niches in furniture.
  • We determine the necessary household appliances.
  • Choose devices according to the design of the headset. Multi-colored appliances and textured set do not look very harmonious, so it is advisable to select devices in one color scheme.

When making custom-made furniture, it is worth considering not only the parameters of the room, but also other aspects. Here are some tips to help you design your built-in furniture correctly.

  1. An additional worktop is installed between the hob and the refrigerator.
  2. For convenience, a microwave and an oven are installed in the upper cabinets, and a washing machine in the lower ones.
  3. The place for the oven is located at eye level.

When choosing a headset, we take into account the number of people living in the family and the expected processes. Clearly define intended purpose each of the household appliances.

Conclusion

It is not worth purchasing a "ready-made" built-in kitchen. It's better to order it. So a person will have the opportunity to determine the size of the future headset, choose a color and design, select equipment and harmoniously combine the decoration of the room with built-in furniture.

WATCH THE VIDEO

For built-in furniture, it is better to select an electric hob. This reduces the risk of melting nearby countertops.

By mounting the oven above the usual level, the cooking process becomes much more comfortable. In our article you will see different variants pencil cases for the oven and find out what dimensions experts recommend for creating a module.

Two high modules are designed for mounting equipment. One cabinet fills the refrigerator and a storage shelf, the second has an oven built in at the countertop level and spacious shelves that cover the facades.

Pencil case dimensions

Approximate dimensions of the case (HxWxD): 2040x600x550 mm.

The area of the room and design features make adjustments to the overall dimensions of the cabinet.

Dimensions for embedding. Gorenje ovens are purchased complete with similar installation instructions. The graphic example shows the Gorenje B2000P2 model.

1. Wardrobe to order

This option is most popular among buyers, since the master takes into account all the planning details in the process of making the kitchen. The main thing is to choose the technique in advance and provide the specialist with accurate data on the dimensions.

A modern headset without technology. All sockets for devices are removed in advance. The next stage is installation.

Combination beige colour and wood grain textures on corner kitchen... In one pencil case, a built-in oven and a microwave oven were placed on a separate shelf.

White kitchen in the style of minimalism. A microwave oven and an oven are built into a tall cabinet that completes the composition of the headset.

Bright turquoise furniture angular shape... The independent oven set was set at a convenient height level.

Strict interior, minimum details. For such a kitchen, it is better to choose built-in appliances.

The cabinet with the oven is located next to the hob, so the cooking area is concentrated in one part, and a large working area remains.

2. Factory pencil cases

Kitchen manufacturers offer customers ready-made furniture options for built-in appliances. The main difficulty lies in the fact that the dimensions for embedding coincide with the real dimensions of the furniture. That is, you will have to act from the opposite - choose an oven for certain parameters, or adjust the furniture during installation.

Remember, the control panel must be above the belt level, and the height of the oven installation must not exceed the level of your eyes, otherwise the operation of the appliance during cooking will not be comfortable.

A uniform style and competent layout allows this kitchen to look organic, despite the high module for appliances and the variety of colors in the headset area. A refrigerator and a pencil case enclose the furniture on both sides, creating a complete image in the kitchen design.
