Is it profitable to engage in colored gravel. Colored crushed stone: design, production, costs and profits. Assessment of financial results

Business in the production of colored gravel very relevant today, like the manufacture of most other building materials. This format of entrepreneurship does not require serious investments. It is quite possible to organize small-scale production, having 100,000 rubles on hand. The level of competition in this area is relatively low, and there are no particular difficulties in the production of crushed stone. Therefore, any entrepreneur interested in starting a profitable business can start such a business from scratch.

colored gravel- This is a small stone, painted with specialized tools. It has other names - painted pebbles, colored gravel, decorative painted stone.

Not all entrepreneurs understand why it is necessary to paint rubble? And the point here is not only in beauty, but also in the presence of a number of significant advantages:

  • nice smooth surface
  • resistance to moisture (even a large amount of precipitation will not make colored gravel lose its properties);
  • resistance to temperature extremes;
  • immunity to ultraviolet light and other negative effects.

Building materials have always been one of the most sought-after goods. People are constantly building something, ennobling their homes. And of course, without specialized materials it is impossible to carry out such work. Crushed stone among them is one of the most popular products, especially for the following varieties:

  1. granite;
  2. limestone.

Pre-painted crushed stone is used as a decoration for the landscape, interior decoration. It is also used to decorate aquariums.

The production of colored gravel as a business for domestic entrepreneurs can be very profitable. Even considering that the initial investment will be minimal. The manufacturer will only deal with painting finished products which he will pre-purchase.

You can go along an even simpler path - buy ready-made simple crushed stone in bulk and sell it in bags. So, 1 ton of crushed stone costs about 2,000 rubles, and one bag weighing 50 kg will cost the buyer 300 rubles. It turns out that for one such batch you can get 6,000 rubles. The income will be 4,000 rubles. This proves the high profitability of production.

If the entrepreneur wants to engage in the production of colored gravel on his own, then he will be able to make even more profit. This format is the most profitable and in demand today.

Production technology

At the very beginning of the journey, a newly minted entrepreneur wonders where to start working on the production of colored gravel. To begin with, you will have to study the manufacturing process itself. Fortunately, it does not require special knowledge, skills and craftsmanship. A person will be able to quickly master the technology and begin to apply it.

People working in the production of colored gravel are advised to use acrylic paint for coloring stone, as it is recognized as the best pigment.

The very process of making colored gravel is as follows:

  1. First, ready-made raw materials are purchased with pebbles ranging in size from 10 to 30 mm (you can sort it yourself, but this will be cost-effective only with large volumes of work). Unpainted stone is sent to a special raw material bin. From there, the raw materials are sent for coloring with shovels. It is better to store unpainted crushed stone indoors, otherwise the quality of painting stones will be poor due to their contamination.
  2. Raw materials are placed in a special bunker for painting. Usually it is a concrete mixer. But it does not need to be filled completely. In addition to the rubble itself, paint is poured into the tank (mainly acrylic, used for facade works). The larger the volume of the concrete mixer, the more profitable the production will be, since fewer starts of the equipment will be required.
  3. After that, a concrete mixer is launched, which makes it possible to produce a uniform color of the raw material in just ¼ hours.
  4. In order for the crushed stone to be evenly colored and dry well, it must be placed in a large sieve for drying (the entire batch will need to be laid out on it). The sieve must have a pallet - excess paint will drain into it. It is best to use a vibrating sieve with a special tray. In this case, the quality of the painted gravel will be ideal. And this is precisely what increases the cost of the finished product. If ordinary crushed stone costs about 2,000 rubles per ton, then painted one will cost 24,000 rubles.
  5. Dyed and dried products are sent to a special storage bin. And when selling, crushed stone is packed in separate bags (usually small bags weighing from 5 to 20 kg are used). They lay it with ordinary shovels, and then sew up the finished product using a bag sewing machine (you can do it manually, but it will take much more time).

No matter how simple the process of making colored gravel is, it will not be possible without specialized equipment and tools. And if the entrepreneur decides to sift the pebbles on his own, then additional tools will be required.

It will not be possible to do without a specialized workshop, where the painting, drying and storage of crushed stone will take place. An area of about 100 m 2 will be required. There are no special requirements for the workshop. It is only important that the air is not too humid.

It is necessary to evaluate the cost of equipment for a particular case on your own, as well as answer the question of whether the chosen business is profitable or not. Before buying tools, you need to compare the level of productivity, production volumes and the price of technical means. Of course, if the workshop is very small, then it makes no sense to buy expensive equipment with high power. In this case, the return on investment will be very long. But if it is planned to open a large enterprise, then it will be possible to return the investment in a short period of time.

Even a small business will need the following equipment:

  • bunkers (one for storing raw materials, the other for storing ready-made material);
  • concrete mixer;
  • sieve (it is better to buy a vibrating one);
  • packing device (machine for stitching bags).

You will have to manually load the crushed stone into the concrete mixer. To do this, you will need shovels - 3-4 pieces will be enough. Their average cost is 300 rubles apiece. You will also need bags in large numbers- about 2,500 pieces. The cost of one - from 5 rubles in case of wholesale purchase.

A concrete mixer costs 25,000 rubles, a vibrating sieve - 75,000 rubles. If the initial capital is small, then at first you can do without bunkers (the cost of one is about 150,000 rubles), replacing them with home-made boxes. The filling machine can be replaced by manual labor. This will allow you to save another 40,000 rubles at first. You can do without a vibrating sieve, but then you will have to sift the finished product yourself, and this is additional labor and time.

Even having saved on the purchase of expensive equipment, it will not be possible to do without investments in the amount of 100,000 rubles. After all, on initial stage will have to purchase more raw materials, paint. This will also need to include the first salary of workers - 2 assistants at the initial stage will be enough.

Sales channels

The level of profit and profitability of any business largely depends on the correct promotion of your own business. That is why, even before starting work in this area, you need to understand for yourself who may need colored gravel. The more distribution channels decorative stone an entrepreneur finds, the more opportunities for promotion he will have.

You can work in two directions at once:

  1. wholesale;
  2. retail.

But in the first case, the cost of finished products should be lower. This will attract as many customers as possible, having received a solid profit due to the volume of deliveries. But at retail, crushed stone can be sold at higher prices. In general, the circle of buyers will look like this:

  • ordinary citizens with their own country houses(use colored gravel to decorate flower beds, paths, facades);
  • service utilities;
  • companies specializing in landscape design;
  • funeral services bureau;
  • aquarium shops;
  • flower shops;
  • pet stores.

To attract customers, you can use advertising on television, newspapers and radio. Targeted work with specific organizations will also bear fruit. But even an active advertising campaign will not allow fluctuations in demand to be avoided.

Colored gravel is a seasonal product, the demand for which is highest from March to September.

Assessment of financial results

The level of initial investment is already clear - no less than 100,000 rubles. When buying everything necessary equipment this amount may increase up to 500,000 - 600,000 rubles. Fixed costs will include:

  • crushed stone (1 ton - 2,000 rubles);
  • acrylic paint (1 kg - 200 rubles, one ton will require 20 kg, that is, you will have to spend 4,000 rubles).

Hence, the cost of 1 ton will be 6,000 rubles. You can sell it for 24,000 rubles. If you subtract tax deductions, the wages of workers, then on average you can get 9,000 rubles from one ton of painted stone. Sale even 20 tons decorative gravel will allow you to make a profit in the amount of 180,000 rubles. And the higher the volumes, the more profitable the production will be.

This cost-benefit ratio is rare. That is why the production of colored crushed stone is one of the most highly profitable and promising business areas.

Colored gravel is a natural stone fine fraction, subjected to coloring. Painted crushed stone has a smooth surface and does not lose its properties under the influence of high humidity, various temperature conditions, ultraviolet radiation and other negative phenomena.

Description of the business idea for the production of colored gravel

The material also has other names, for example: colored gravel, painted stone, painted pebbles. The decorative crushed stone in bags is realized. Scope of the original finishing material is large enough: it is landscape design, and interior decoration, and facade cladding, and even decoration of aquariums.

Our business valuation:

Starting investments - from 100,000 rubles.

Market saturation is average.

The complexity of starting a business is 5/10.

The production of decorative colored gravel can become a profitable business with a good development prospect in Russia. And this despite the fact that the initial stage of opening an enterprise does not require large financial investments.
Business can be done even on the packing of stone: the price of 1 ton of simple crushed stone is about 2,000 rubles, the price of a bag is 300 rubles. Given the relatively high cost of painted pebbles, we can assume the profitability of the enterprise.

stone coloring technology

The technology for the production of colored gravel is not a complicated process, but it requires some knowledge about the properties of dyes and adherence to the algorithm of actions. Staining of simple marble rubble takes place in several stages: painting with special dyes, drying, packaging, transportation to the place of sale or storage. One package of decorative stone weighs approximately 20-25 kg.

A novice entrepreneur needs to know what paints are used in the manufacturing process of the original finishing material. According to experts, the best pigment is acrylic paint for colored gravel, but there are other options for giving the desired shade to gravel.

The cost of equipment for painting gravel

The production of colored gravel is impossible without the right equipment and tools. When using ready-made raw materials, stone coloring is carried out at minimal cost. The expense item will include only the purchase of crushed stone or pebbles, dyes and some devices that can be placed in a small area, no more than 100 m2.

Equipment for the production of colored crushed stone should have an optimal ratio of productivity and cost.

The kit includes the following devices:

  • container for raw materials (bunker);
  • concrete mixer (for painting);
  • vibrating sieve (sifting stones);
  • bunker for storage of finished material;
  • packing device (or unit for sewing up packing).

To load and unload crushed stone, you need to purchase 2-4 shovels, costing about 300 rubles. a piece. The material is packed in 20-25 kg per bag, on this basis, 2000 bags of 4.5 - 5 rubles should be bought for a month. a piece.

Tanks for bulk building materials, having a volume of 10 cubic meters. meters cost about 150 thousand rubles. a piece. A concrete mixer of the required power - from 25 thousand rubles. The cost of the vibrating sieve varies within 90 thousand rubles. When choosing a machine for sewing bags, you should pay attention to Belgian manufacturers. The cost of the device is about 45 thousand rubles.

The kit is designed for the production of colored crushed stone in the amount of about 10 cubic meters. meters in 8-10 hours.

If there is a shortage of funds, you can do without bunkers for the first time, for example, make homemade boxes. The material can also be sifted manually using screens with a suitable mesh size, postponing the purchase of a vibrating sieve until better times.

You can paint colored gravel with your own hands using various paints and binders. The composition of the dyes may include various components, so the cost of the color will be different.

Judging by the set of equipment and materials, an enterprise for the production of painted crushed stone can be opened with minimal costs, not exceeding 100 thousand rubles. At the initial stage, the help of two hired workers who do not have qualifications and certain skills is sufficient.

Gravel painting technology

In order to prevent marriage during the production process, you should familiarize yourself in more detail with how to make colored gravel with your own hands. This requires material with a fraction of 10-30 mm, dyes and binders.

The main stages of production:

  • selection of crushed stone of the desired fraction and separation of debris, while it is important to remember that the material is better painted with a fraction of 10 mm;
  • loading raw materials into a concrete mixer;
  • addition coloring matter: no more than 20% of the total volume of the material;
  • mixing paint and gravel for an hour until the material is covered with a uniform film;
  • removing a stone from a concrete mixer using a special mesh through which excess coloring matter is removed;
  • drying the material;
  • finished products.

Financial part

To calculate the profit from one ton of output, you should know the cost of raw materials and the market price of painted crushed stone. Crushed stone costs about 2000 rubles. per ton. The price of acrylic paint is 200 rubles. for 1 kg. To paint 1 ton of crushed stone, you need to spend about 20 kg of paint, that is, 4000 rubles. The cost of a ton of painted decorative stone is 6,000 rubles. The average market price of finishing material varies from 23,000 rubles. per ton. The maximum deductions are 50% of net profit. As a result, the entrepreneur will receive about 8,000-10,000 thousand rubles from 1 ton of painted crushed stone. income.

This is an excellent indicator for .

Sales of products

To determine the sales market, you need to know: in what areas is the painted decorative stone in demand?

Regular customers, including wholesalers, can be:

  • private traders who buy stone for finishing facades, flower beds, paths, etc.;
  • utility services;
  • organizations involved in landscape design;
  • funeral services bureau;
  • aquarium salons;
  • pet stores and

You can search for customers on your own or using the services of the media, but you need to remember about some seasonality of the goods: the highest demand is observed from March to September inclusive.

People who want to start their own business minimum investment, you should pay attention to the manufacture of colored gravel. The demand for the material is growing year by year. With its help, decorate and improve private land, city streets, facades and more.

The production of decorative colored gravel in Russia as a business has a number of advantages:

  • low level competition;
  • ease of organization;
  • minimum start-up costs.

A well-written business plan for organizing an enterprise will help create an exciting, profitable and cost-effective business.

The use of colored gravel

Before you start solving organizational issues, you need to study the technology for making colored chips, as well as find out in what areas it is used. This will help to properly equip the production facility and determine the distribution channels for finished products.

Used mainly colored gravel for landscape design. With the help of painted stone, aquariums, terrariums are decorated, a favorable microclimate is created. Recently, the material is increasingly used for finishing facades, paths, pools.

The profitability of the enterprise lies in the relatively low price of raw materials and the high cost of finished products. Marble crushed stone, pebbles, gravel, granite chips and even sand are used as consumables.

The main buyers of painted gravel are:

  • individuals who own their own land plots and use the material for arranging their backyard territory;
  • city utilities;
  • landscapers;
  • companies offering landscape design services;
  • cemetery services;
  • owners of flower and pet stores, for the spectacular supply of aquariums, terrariums.

The material is in demand among the population who wants to make their world brighter, more colorful and more elegant. And there are not so many offers on the market. Therefore, manufacturing technology is useful not only for businessmen who want to open a production workshop that brings a stable income, but also for craftsmen who are trying to make colored gravel with their own hands.

Material manufacturing process

In addition to stones of fraction 4, sand and crumbs, a special paint for colored gravel will be required during the production process. Acrylic dyes are usually used.

The technology for the production of colored gravel is simple and consists of several stages:

  • crushed stone is cleaned of debris, washed;
  • poured with paint of the desired color after immersion in a concrete mixer;
  • colored gravel, crumbs, crushed stone, etc. are transferred to a tray with a sieve;
  • the product dries either with the help of a special apparatus, or in the fresh air;
  • finished products are packaged in the required portions, or sold in bulk.

Production room

Before you make colored gravel with your own hands, you need to draw up a business plan for the enterprise, including the main points of opening and calculations. The design must take into account possible risks and losses during the operation of the workshop.

Buying equipment is one of the most significant parts of any business plan. Continuity depends on technical equipment production process and product quality. Knowing which devices are needed for a particular job, you can calculate the area of \u200b\u200bthe room.

To install a line for the production of colored gravel, you need about 30 square meters. m. Optionally, it should be a closed room. You can install equipment on the street under a canopy. It is important that there is running water and electricity nearby.

The production workshop can be equipped in the garage. The rent in this case will not exceed 10 thousand rubles. open space will require the presence of a bunker where raw materials and finished products will be stored. Renting a bunker will cost the entrepreneur about 300 thousand rubles. (two tanks).

Technical equipment of the workshop and inventory

Equipment for the production of colored crushed stone, decorative chips and colored pebbles consists of the following units:

  • concrete mixer;
  • vibrating sieve;
  • bag sewing machine;
  • buckets, shovels.

At the first stage, you can buy a concrete mixer with a volume of up to 210 liters. The device costs about 200 thousand rubles, the price depends on the model and manufacturer. Up to 800 kg of crushed stone can be loaded into the apparatus at a time.

With the help of a vibrating screen, the process of drying the painted material is facilitated. The stone dries evenly on all sides. The installation price varies from 40 thousand rubles. and higher. You can save money by drying the material on a wire rack or any flat surface.

The cost of the sewing machine is not high. Equipment from China costs about 12 thousand rubles. The price of Japanese technology reaches 60 thousand rubles.

Buckets and shovels will cost a businessman about 1.5 thousand rubles.

As a result, about 600 thousand rubles will have to be spent on the purchase of inventory and equipment. With the help of devices in one working day, you can paint about 10 cubic meters. meters of rubble.

Consumables for the manufacture of painted gravel

Acrylic paint and binders may have different prices, depending on the manufacturer. The entrepreneur will have to experiment a little with various types dyes and substances to achieve the desired effect.

Consumables:

  • crushed stone (crumb, sand, pebbles, etc.) about 50 tons, at a price of 210 rubles. per ton;
  • dyes of the desired color, the consumption of which is 2 kg per 1 ton of material - 80-90 rubles. for 1 kg;
  • bags for finished products (from 2.5 thousand pieces per month) - 15 thousand rubles.

In order for the business to quickly gain momentum, the creation of a new enterprise must be communicated to as many interested organizations and individuals as possible. To do this, you need to run good advertising. The cost of a marketing company on the Internet and the media can reach 15 thousand rubles. per month. And opening a virtual store will cost an entrepreneur 50-60 thousand rubles.

Enterprise financial plan

The cost of organizing a business will be approximately 600-650 thousand rubles. Monthly expenses - from 300 thousand rubles. This includes staff salaries, the purchase of raw materials, advertising, taxes, and more.

The price of colored gravel in the Russian market varies within 25 thousand rubles. for 1 ton. One worker will paint 2 tons of crushed stone in an 8 hour working day. That is, in 22 days - 44 tons. If all products are sold, then the profit will be equal to 1.1 million rubles.

Investments will pay off in 2-3 months. But such a forecast is valid with well-established sales channels. Usually, at the initial stage of work, such enterprises sell about 10 tons of painted gravel. That guarantees a payback of production within 4-5 months.

Buyers are always looking for a supplier who will offer a quality product at a low cost. This also applies to the production of painted gravel. The lower the holiday price, the faster the customer base of the new enterprise will be created, the higher the profit it will bring. The nuance is that the smaller the stone, the higher its strength and price. You can buy a stone of a larger fraction and sort it yourself. This will slightly reduce the price of the finished product.

Decorative colored crushed stone - environmentally friendly and inexpensive material, which will help to realize any author's decisions in landscape design. This material is resistant to cold and bright sunlight. Its practical use lies in the ability to maintain water balance in the soil and limit the growth of weeds. We tell you how crushed stone is painted, how stones are prepared, what requirements are imposed on paint and some other nuances.

Crushed stone is a loose granular material formed during the crushing and processing of rocks. It is distinguished by frost resistance, strength, resistance to sunlight. Some species accumulate radiation, so when buying this material from the seller, you need to request a quality certificate. Ordinary unpainted gravel is added to the composition concrete mix for the foundation.

The most popular granite, gravel, limestone varieties. They come from the corresponding rocks, differ in strength and size of fractions. Sometimes crushed stone is formed as a result of processing construction waste, this variety is called "secondary". The production of secondary crushed stone is a side line of the mining industry.

In construction, the so-called "screening" is sometimes used - a material of fine fraction with a small content of sand. Screening is much inferior to all other types in terms of strength, but it has a very low cost.

A variety of shades of colored gravel make it a popular material for landscape design.

The use of decorative gravel in design

Decorative gravel for landscape design - very valuable material, combining aesthetic qualities with practical benefits. Painted placers are sold in building materials stores with a rather high mark-up. Meanwhile, organizing the painting of a batch of rubble for personal purposes or even creating a small business on this is not so difficult as it might seem at first glance.

Painted crushed stone is used to implement a variety of solutions in landscape design. This material freely passes moisture and does not allow it to evaporate, which helps to maintain the water balance in the soil and favorably affects garden plants. Colored gravel for the garden looks neat, but at the same time unusual. The most popular applications:

  • decoration, drawings and inscriptions on flowerbeds, lawns, paths;
  • blind area around the house, gazebo, pond or pool;
  • decoration of fountains and waterfalls;
  • laying paths in the garden;
  • lining the bottom of the pond;
  • decoration of patios and fire zones;
  • filling gabions;
  • creation of "dry" streams;
  • decoration of monuments.

Thus, decorative colored gravel is almost versatile material with a wide range of applications and low price.

Coloring technology

What is the technology of production of colored gravel? There are several well-established and effective ways apply paint to this material. The first option, the simplest, is suitable for those who want to make colored gravel with their own hands. To do this, the pebbles (after pre-treatment) are painted hand painted from an aerosol can. This is a rather time-consuming process, since skill is required for even staining. With inaccurate application, the color of the fractions will turn out to be heterogeneous, that is, not suitable for landscape design.

A more stable result and large batches of painted gravel can be obtained using concrete mixer. After preliminary cleaning, the stones are poured into the hopper along with the paint. To change the color saturation, painting is carried out in several cycles. The result is an even, uniform shade. After painting in a concrete mixer, the gravel is dried on a metal mesh so that excess paint can drain off the material. Using a concrete mixer, you can easily produce really large batches of painted crushed stone for sale.

For more confident business development, it is worth purchasing a vibrating screen (for sifting fractions of the required size) and a drying chamber.

The concrete mixer allows you to paint large batches of crushed stone quickly and without much difficulty.

Technology for painting crushed stone by stages:

  • sifting and sorting the material into fractions manually or using a vibrating screen;
  • washing and drying the selected pebbles (so the paint will lie more evenly);
  • loading homogeneous fractions and paint into the concrete mixer hopper;
  • mixing of crushed stone and paint, from 1 to 3 cycles;
  • extraction of the painted material from the bunker, assessment of the uniformity of the painting;
  • drying of crushed stone in a special chamber or in the open air.

paint requirements

The production of crushed stone for landscape design implies the ability to achieve a wide range of colors. Crushed stone is painted in natural (beige, gray, black), neutral (green, blue, white) and bright (yellow, red) shades. What is the best paint for gravel? The best solution would be acrylic paint, polyacrylic-based dyes and weather-resistant enamels.

At right choice paint staining crushed stone will not only change the shade of the material, but also improve its performance. Therefore, preference should be given to paints with the following properties:

  • water resistance;
  • frost resistance;
  • resistance to sunlight;
  • immunity to mechanical stress (for example, to walking);
  • ecological cleanliness, hypoallergenicity.

Preparation of stones

Before painting gravel, the material should be carefully prepared. Granite and gravel placers are suitable for painting, in limestone there is too much chalking, which will interfere with the paint. It is necessary to select fractions of approximately the same size, the optimal diameter will be about 1 cm. Painting will be of poor quality if there are larger particles, dirt and sand in the placer. At home, sifting is carried out through a metal mesh with cells of suitable size. In industrial conditions, a special machine is used for this - a vibrating screen.

The selected gravel is washed. This will help to clean the fractions of dust and dirt that will interfere with the smooth application of the paint. After washing, the crushed stone is thoroughly dried in the open air or in a drying chamber. Trying to paint wet material is not worth it: the paint will lie unevenly and will not be absorbed. Dry material is ready for painting.

After painting, the crushed stone dries in a drying chamber or in the open air.

Drying gravel

After applying the paint, colored gravel must be dried. You can lay it out outdoors on a metal grate or linoleum, but this option will take a lot of time. Under the metal grate it is worth laying a plastic film. It will collect excess paint, which can be re-poured into a concrete mixer.

It is much more profitable, especially when it comes to production for sale, to use a drying chamber. This is much faster, better quality, but has one significant drawback - high cost. Start work between without this equipment, and after the first income invest in the modernization of the means of production.

Production costs

It is quite profitable to produce colored crushed stone: although the demand for goods is seasonal, it is very stable. The cost of equipment and material will be relatively modest and will quickly pay off. The business plan for the production of colored gravel should include the following costs:

  • concrete mixer - from 8 thousand rubles;
  • vibrating screen - from 300 thousand rubles;
  • drying chamber - from 100 thousand rubles;
  • granite or gravel crushed stone - an average of 2 thousand rubles per ton;
  • paint - 100 kg on average 20 thousand rubles.

At the first stages of work, you can save a lot by working without a vibrating screen and a drying chamber. Metal grid(from 200 rubles for square meter) is quite a worthy and workable option. Painted crushed stone is usually sold in bags at a price of 30 rubles per 1 kg.

Conclusion

Painted crushed stone is a versatile material for landscape design. It is used to decorate flower beds, paths, ponds, gabions and patios. The production of this material is possible even at home or with the presence of one concrete mixer. When coloring, use acrylic paints, which will give the material not only a unique appearance, but greater moisture and frost resistance.

Colored crushed stone and decorative chips are used in landscape design, in creating a favorable microclimate in terrariums and aquariums. The production of colored crushed stone and chips is quite a profitable business, since the unpainted version - the raw material - is much cheaper than the final version.

The raw materials used are crushed marble, granite or marble chips, or gravel or sand.

  • individuals using building stone for the arrangement of adjacent territories;
  • communal organizations and city gardening services for the design of lawns and flower beds;
  • companies performing specific landscape works;
  • organizations of funeral services that perform the arrangement of cemetery plots;
  • pet owners who purchase colored gravel and crumbs to ensure the natural microclimate of aquariums and terrariums;
  • pet store owners for a spectacular setting.

Manufacturing technology

As a raw material, crushed stone of a fraction from 10 to 30 mm is suitable, and various paints, as well as various binders, can be used to give color. The principle of manufacturing products does not involve any complex operations, as a result of which we get a fairly popular in modern construction material for creating landscape design - multi-colored stone.

Process video:

1) It is supposed to purchase specially selected raw materials, stones of medium fraction, in the range from 10 to 30 mm. When buying crushed stone of a specific fraction, there is no need for additional sorting. The material is stored in a bunker, from where it is shipped as needed for the purpose of painting. Shovels are used for portion loading. Storage of crushed stone without cover is not recommended, as the pores of the stone become clogged, and the quality of the painting suffers from this. For application of paint, it is necessary to ensure a dry and clean surface of the material. If we proceed from the volumes of transportation, which is most often carried out by KAMAZ, then a one-time delivery of cargo is equivalent to a volume of about 14 tons (10 m3).

2) The delivered crushed stone or crumb is placed in a painting hopper, the function of which can be performed by a concrete mixer. If the standard volume of a concrete mixer is 0.7 cubic meters, and it is not filled to the brim, but slightly above half, then the crushed stone approximately occupies 0.5 cubic meters. Paint is added to the material in one container. To get 2 tons of finished material during the shift, the concrete mixer must work out three cycles. Reducing the volume of raw materials loaded into the concrete mixer is impractical: the profitability of production will decrease, since more cycles of the concrete mixer will be required to obtain the same volume of finished products. In practice, it looks like this: 0.2 cubes need to be run 6 times to get a result of 2 tons (in this case, the crushed stone / crumb cube is 1.41 tons).

4) Further, if, for example, granite chips are used, then it is sifted through a vibrating sieve. It is ideal to use a sieve with a tray. After staining, each pebble should have a uniform color and be clean. If we compare ordinary and painted crushed stone, then the difference looks like this: a ton of colored colored - 22-24 thousand rubles, and a ton of unpainted - 1000 rubles. Of course, the buyer will carefully analyze the quality of the product, so it is unjustified to allow negligence in drying technology.

5) Ready-made colored gravel or decorative chips are stored using for this purpose the same bunker as for storing raw materials. The storage of expensive products without packaging and protective coating is out of the question. It is packaged dry and clean.

6) Container. Traditional packaging - bags designed for cargo from 5 to 20 kg. The packaging process is carried out manually and with the assistance of an auxiliary tool (shovel). Filled bags are hemmed with the help of a bag-sewing mechanism.

Equipment for the production of

The production of multi-colored crushed stone does not require large investments if ready-made raw materials are used.

Equipment includes:

  • bunker No. 1 (for raw materials);
  • concrete mixer (for painting);
  • vibrating sieve (for screening);
  • bunker No. 2 (for finished products);
