Hanging cabinet with your own hands. We make a cabinet for the kitchen with our own hands: all stages. Modeling an old kitchen

Kitchen furniture is a modular range of wall cabinets and side tables. Yes, sometimes you have to use non-standard solutions. But most of the modules have a completely standard design. It is enough to estimate the volumes of kitchens sold in bulk, when the buyer is invited to independently select the modules of the right size and make a full-fledged set out of them. You can make a simple kitchen cabinet with your own hands at home. And at the same time save a lot.

Typical do-it-yourself kitchen cabinets, photos and drawings

The hinged kitchen case consists of the case and front part.

The body (box) is most often made of laminated chipboard, less often of plywood and solid wood. Its design is quite simple and understandable.

For the design of rectilinear sets, the following modules are used: a horizontally elongated structure, a vertically elongated structure, and a shape close to a square.

Depending on the height of the cabinets, the number of internal shelves is determined.

Kitchen corner cupboard do-it-yourself can be a monolithic trapezoidal or composite rectangular structure of two cabinets.

How to make kitchen cabinets with your own hands? First of all, decide on the size. Briefly about the standards in kitchen furniture can be read.

What affects the size of kitchen wall cabinets?

There are certain standards for kitchen furniture. This is due to:

  • Practical considerations, ergonomics and functionality.
  • Standards adopted for the installation of fittings, internal filling.
  • The dimensions of the standard line of facades.

front part in budget options also made from chipboard. In the "more expensive" options, the material of the facades can be:

    • MDF with veneer, PVC film, plastic veneer.

    • MDF painted with enamel, lacquered polymer coated(acrylic, High Gloss).

    • An array of different types of wood.

  • Glass and acrylic in an aluminum frame.

The front part is what determines the final cost of the kitchen. Therefore, before you calculate and make kitchen cabinets with your own hands, check the cost of the selected facade option. As a rule, cabinet doors standard sizes are offered by manufacturers in stock and are much cheaper than individual production for the size.

Also, pricing is influenced by internal content in the form metal systems storage, drawers and other mechanisms. For wall cabinets, complex lifting mechanisms and drying are of decisive importance:

  • Lifting mechanisms are calculated for installation in cabinets of a certain depth, height and weight of the door. As a rule, any mechanism will "get up" to a depth of a wall cabinet of about 280-320mm, a height of 250mm. The weight of the door can be calculated in fact. Alternatively, install two lifting mechanism on opposite sides of the box.
  • Dryers (a set of nets for mugs and plates with a tray) are offered in standard sizes in cabinets 300mm, 400mm, 500mm, 600mm, 700mm, 800mm, 900mm. But it is better to check the availability in your city, the range may be limited.

How to make DIY kitchen cabinets

For wall cabinets, the design is approximately the same:

  • Stoeva (sidewalls) are made through, and the shelves, lid and bottom are inset.
  • Depth of cabinets is taken as standard 300-320mm. The body is assembled for four euro screws (confirmation), the sidewalls are drilled 50 mm from the edge from all sides.
  • Internal shelves are made smaller in depth. The first reason is that the back wall can be inserted into the groove. The second reason is that the facade on the cabinet can be with overlay glass, the thickness of the glass “shifts” the shelf inward.
  • Adjustment under the shelves +/- 50mm is very convenient. Already in place, the hostess can rearrange the shelf in the closet at a convenient distance.

Visually, a do-it-yourself wall-mounted kitchen cabinet on the assembly diagram and drilling drawings can be represented as follows.

Do-it-yourself corner kitchen cabinets, diagrams and drawings

Basically, all assembly schemes and drawings of corner wall cabinets in the kitchen “revolve” around a standard design with overall dimensions of 600x600mm from the corner and a height of 720mm. Consider one of the most common.

The case is designed for fastening two walls of fiberboard and a facade 400 mm wide. The internal shelf is recessed along the front edge for the same reasons as for conventional cabinets: if the facade is with overlay glass, the shelf will not prevent it from completely closing.

The cabinet is drilled and assembled in the same way. On the corner kitchen cabinet do-it-yourself diagrams, drawings of the additive will be as follows.

For perfectionists, it will be useful to read the article. It discusses options for how to make sure that the corner facade is aligned in a single plane with the rest.

Making a hanging cabinet on the wall with your own hands is a decision that many beginners and experienced craftsmen make. Kitchens are most often equipped with such pieces of furniture. In the wall cabinet you can store dishes, cutlery, various utensils, as well as food.

Now there are many finished products on the market, but, firstly, they are characterized by high cost, and, secondly, they are manufactured according to standard schemes. Make an original locker, spending a minimum on it financial resources, you can only do it yourself. Unusual designs for individual orders are assembled by experienced craftsmen, but their services are very expensive.

The assembly technology of the product may vary depending on the material used, as well as on the characteristics of the room in which the furniture will be placed. But in all cases, it is necessary to adhere to the algorithm of work, which we will describe below.

Types of suspended structures

Mounted structures can be divided into several groups according to their purpose, design features, operating conditions:

  1. Wardrobes. They are used to store various items - from dishes to food, spices. Shelves are located inside such structures. Doors can be made of wood, MDF, other opaque materials.
  2. Drying cabinets. Similar do-it-yourself designs are located above the sink or next to it, drying dishes for dishes are installed inside them.
  3. End structures. Corner products are best solution for small kitchens where it is necessary to rationally use every centimeter. End structures are suspended in the corner of the room using special hangers.
  4. Open products. Lockers with open shelves are used to store various decorative elements, beautiful dishes, jars of spices. Such furniture is equipped with hinged, sliding or flip-up transparent doors, which ensure the safety of using the cabinet and prevent items located on the shelves from falling down.

Before you make a wardrobe with your own hands, you need to decide on the type of construction, the choice depends on the dimensions of the room and the needs of the people living in the apartment.

Material selection

On the modern market there are many materials from which you can make furniture yourself. As for hinged structures, for their production the following are most often used:

  • Natural tree. This is an expensive material from which reliable and durable structures with a pleasant appearance. To save money, many craftsmen make only the facades of cabinets from solid wood, and the back walls are made from cheaper materials. When giving preference to wood, it should be remembered that it is difficult to process it, so novice craftsmen are advised to choose other materials. In addition, wood requires a special coating. Without it, it will be exposed to moisture and temperature changes, which will lead to deformation of the product.
  • Plywood. Sufficiently durable material, which is widely popular. Its disadvantages include the complexity of processing. Perfectly smooth, even sheets of plywood can be purchased at ready-made but they are quite expensive.
  • Chipboard. Affordable, easy to process material. Its main disadvantage is not attractive enough appearance, so it is most often used to make cabinet backs.

  • chipboard. It is now used most widely in the manufacture of budget-class furniture. The material is distinguished by reliability, practicality, ease of processing, attractive appearance, affordable cost.
  • Plastic. Also very popular. Great for the kitchen, as it is not afraid of moisture, it is characterized by light weight, ease of sanitization. The main disadvantage of plastic is the relatively high price.

Most experienced craftsmen recommend making wall cabinets from chipboard. If the furniture maker does not have sufficient experience in cutting cabinet furniture elements, then cutting can be entrusted to material suppliers or employees of the store where it is purchased. The master will only need to assemble the finished product, hang it on the wall.

Preparation for work

Do-it-yourself furniture assembly should begin with preparatory work. The master will need working tools: tape measure, level, pencil, hammer, screwdriver, drill, screwdriver, hacksaw. He also needs to make a drawing of the cabinet with his own hands. It is very important to correctly calculate the dimensions of the product and all its constituent parts. If the furniture maker does not have experience in drawing up drawings, then it is recommended to use ready-made schemes. If necessary, they can be adapted to your own needs.

When the drawing of the locker is ready, you can begin to calculate the quantity necessary materials and then go to the store. In addition to wood or chipboard, you need to purchase fasteners, accessories (hinges, handles).

If the master wants to equip the locker decorative facade, but does not have sufficient skills to make it, it is better to entrust the decorative work to an experienced carpenter.

When preparatory work finished, the furniture maker can make the design with his own hands.

Assembly steps

The work on assembling a wall cabinet consists of several stages:

  1. Detail fitting. It is necessary to check whether all parts of the future product are suitable in size to each other. If not, then you need to make adjustments. For a novice furniture maker, this work may seem difficult, but over time, he will learn to do it quickly.
  2. Edge sticker. On the sides of the parts that will be visible when using furniture, you need to stick a decorative edge.
  3. Hanger installation. On the inside, in the upper rear corner of each of the sidewalls, you need to make holes for suspensions. Work should be done with a drill. Then the suspensions are screwed using self-tapping screws (inserted into through holes) and large bolts (screwed through the adjustment holes). In the back wall of the cabinet, you need to cut holes for suspensions.
  4. Marking and drilling. First you need to mark the side walls. They indicate the location of future shelves, then holes are drilled in the appropriate places. The diameter of the holes should correspond to the size of the shelf supports, most often it is 6-7 mm. If the master decided to make furniture on the wall from chipboard, then he needs to use a high-quality tool that gives a minimum error. When drilling, you need to keep the cabinet parts as even as possible, since the slightest inaccurate movement can damage the product.
  5. Case assembly. All shelves (most often there are 2-3 of them near the cabinet on the wall) are screwed to one of the sidewalls, and then the second sidewall and back wall are attached. It is recommended to connect the sidewalls with the shelves using euro screws. The back wall is attached using a furniture stapler or small nails.
  6. Loop preparation. On the facades, you need to make recesses for the hinges using a 35 mm cutter. Then you should attach the hinges to the doors, check their compliance with the dimensions of the recesses. You do not need to fix the hinges with your own hands yet, because the doors will create inconvenience in the process of hanging the cabinet on the wall. It is desirable to mount the doors after placing the cabinet in the place intended for it.
  7. Do-it-yourself cabinet placement on the wall. With the help of a level and a plumb line, the wall is marked. You need to make sure that the marks are evenly spaced. Then you need to drill holes and install dowels. After that, it remains only to hang the cabinet.
  8. Hinge installation. A facade is applied to the finished product, fixed with loops from the inside. Then the hinges are adjusted with a screwdriver.

DIY furniture assembly is finished! It remains to fill the locker with useful items.

Important nuances

To make a reliable and durable locker, you need to know certain nuances that are not always known to novice furniture makers. Here are some important recommendations:

  1. Kitchen utensils should be placed evenly on the shelves of the cabinet. If the load is not distributed correctly, the canopies may fall off.
  2. When assembling the product with your own hands, it is recommended to use as many self-tapping screws and other fasteners as possible, since the reliability of the structure depends on them. But at the same time, one should not forget about the aesthetic side of the issue, fasteners should not spoil the appearance of the furniture.
  3. The width of the wall cabinet should be no more than 1 m, otherwise the shelves will begin to sag. In addition, too large, bulky furniture looks out of place in the kitchen (especially small).
  4. The cabinet used for drying dishes should be equipped with a plastic drip tray, which can be purchased at a hardware store. It is important that the pallet completely covers the bottom of the cabinet, otherwise moisture will get there, and the cabinet will become unusable.

Thus, it is not at all difficult to make a locker on your own, the main thing is to correctly organize the work, draw up drawings correctly, and purchase high-quality materials.

What do people usually do if they need a new kitchen cabinet? As a rule, they go to the store, choose suitable model and buy. However, there is another, more interesting and less costly solution to this issue. With a little preparation, you can make a kitchen cabinet with your own hands excellent quality. It is only important to be careful, patient and follow the instructions clearly. The finished product, whether it is a standard wall cabinet or an original corner cabinet, will delight you for many years. In addition, creating a cabinet for the kitchen with your own hands will help save a lot of money that can be spent on something else. The entire upcoming process of making a cabinet for the kitchen with your own hands can be divided into the following main stages: preparation, manufacturing of the necessary elements and assembly of the structure, installation of the finished cabinet on the wall.

The kitchen cabinet is placed at eye level, so this is the first thing that catches your eye in the kitchen.

Preparatory work

One of the most important and primary points of this work is the creation of the project. At this stage, you need to think carefully about everything in order to avoid errors and inaccuracies that can lead to additional time costs. In addition, a do-it-yourself kitchen cabinet is created with the expectation that it will serve for a long time. So the design must be approached with all responsibility.

First of all, you need to prepare a drawing. You can take ready-made drawings as a basis. The figures below show general form wall cabinet and a diagram of the device side wall of the product.

After the drawing is ready, you need to choose a place where the wall cabinet for the kitchen will be installed in the future. There are no specific recommendations here. Position it so that it is convenient to use and does not interfere while working in the kitchen.

Calculate the dimensions of individual structural elements and overall product dimensions.

Here it is important to take into account not only such basic parameters as the length and width of the cabinet, but also the number of shelves and, of course, the distance between them.

Three kinds kitchen cabinets: corner, normal and open.

It will be much more convenient for you to work if you prepare a drawing with all dimensions indicated. It will help to more clearly imagine what kind of product the end result should be. In fact, despite the huge range of factory-made kitchen furniture, all cabinets come in 3 types, which you can see in the picture. Only their shape changes, while the order and features of the assembly remain unchanged. So you can make a kitchen cabinet of any desired configuration.

To assemble the product, you will need a lot of materials and tools. Since the dimensions of the cabinet can vary, the dimensions of the materials for work can also be different. This manual covers how to make a cabinet 75.2 cm high, 28.6 cm wide and 27.9 cm deep - one of the most common and convenient models. For assembly, you can use both chipboard and plywood. Prepare the following materials:

  • 1 roof board with dimensions 19x286x438 mm;
  • 2 boards for the side walls of the cabinet - 19x286x762 mm;
  • 2 boards for shelves - 19x260x413 mm;
  • 1 board for the bottom - 19x279x438 mm;
  • 1 board for the manufacture of the back wall of the cabinet - 6x286x752 mm;
  • 2 drains with dimensions 19x38x279 mm;
  • 2 fastening strips with dimensions 19x38x419 mm;
  • 2 linings for the edges of the cabinet shelves - 19x19x413 mm;
  • 2 crossbeams with dimensions 19x57x381 mm;
  • 1 door with dimensions 19x387x413 mm.

In the finished design, the door will overlap the opening by 10 mm on each side.

Think about what color you want. A lot available different options. Traditional are maple, alder and oak. If desired, you can order a board of any other color.

Before you make a kitchen cabinet, prepare all the tools for work and the necessary accessories:

  • door handles;
  • overhead loops;
  • finishing and finishing nails;
  • pins for shelves;
  • edge for finishing;
  • sandpaper;
  • drill;
  • jigsaw;
  • stationery knife;
  • level;
  • iron;
  • measuring tape;
  • drill;
  • self-tapping screws;
  • suspensions;
  • euroscrews.

Construction assembly

After the drawing is ready, and all the tools and materials are laid out at the workplace, you can start making a cabinet with your own hands. The product is assembled from individual elements, the dimensions of which were given above. Individual elements are cut from a single sheet. It is very difficult to do it yourself, so it is better to contact the nearest furniture shop. If you do not know where to find it, ask the seller of one of the furniture stores in your city, he will surely help you solve this problem.

It is difficult to do this with your own hands, primarily for the reason that if you saw the board with a regular jigsaw, chips will appear at the cut points. If self-cutting is the only possible option, work as follows:

Make a markup. To do this, draw 2 lines. One of them should run exactly in size, and the other should be about 1.5 mm wider. Carefully make a cut between these lines with a jigsaw (better, of course, use an electric one). After that, carefully clean the chips with sandpaper. It is usually enough to run along the edges several times.

After all the blanks are prepared, you can start assembling. Drill holes for euro screws in the walls of the future cabinet. You need to drill through, using drills with a diameter of 7 mm. The holes should be located at a distance of 4 cm from the edges of the vertical blanks. In the shelves, holes are drilled at the ends. For this, a drill with a diameter of 4.5 mm is used. Holes must be drilled to a depth of 4 cm. Using the same drill, you need to prepare holes in the sidewalls - where the shelf will be fastened.

After that, you will need to glue the visible ends of the cabinet parts with a special edge. For this you need an iron. Turn the iron on to 75% of its power or set the wool setting, apply the edge to the surface, run the iron over the film several times, and then press firmly with a dry cloth. Excess film should be cut off with a utility knife.

Then take the euro screws and use them to screw the bottom and top strips to the side parts of the kitchen cabinet. After that, using the same euro screws, fix the shelf inside the cabinet. In the end, you just have to attach the back wall to the cabinet.

The closet plays an important role in any interior. It is not surprising that stringent requirements are imposed on it: not to take up too much space, to be roomy, to have a sufficient number of shelves and drawers. Models on the market do not always fully satisfy individual wishes.

But in the online store there are both ready-made options for cabinets, and under individual order. So experienced craftsmen will assemble the wardrobe of the future owner for any of his whims and desires.

Apartment owners non-standard layout it can be even more difficult to choose an option that fits into the room. In this case, you can order a cabinet from specialists who will take into account all the wishes for the design and internal content.

Unfortunately, this option is not for everyone. Then the best solution would be to use own hands and ingenuity, because it’s not difficult to assemble a wardrobe on your own!

Preparatory stage

Each room has its own type of construction, so you should familiarize yourself with the main ones.

Cabinet with a closed facade - a direct model with hinged doors. To open them, you need to provide additional space, do not forget about this if you are making a closet for the hallway.

The cabinet with an open facade has no doors, and its contents are in plain sight. It imposes certain requirements on the order.

The wardrobe doors are mounted on a rail mechanism and open, moving apart. There are designs with an upper and lower rail, which one to choose is a matter of taste.

Ideal design for a built-in wardrobe

The corner cabinet fills the corner. Suitable for a room of any size, if it is square or close to it.

Having chosen a suitable design, you can begin to create a project for the future cabinet. Since this piece of furniture has been serving for more than one year, it is worth considering what functionality may be required of it. It is better to build a drawing on whatman paper, entering all measurements there.

Decide on the location and dimensions of the cabinet. If a niche is provided in the room, it is ideal, but if it is not possible to build it in, choose a place where neither he nor he will interfere with anything.

Think over the internal content: the location and number of shelves and drawers, their sizes, additional elements like mezzanines or interior lighting.

Do not forget about the choice of exterior finishes, decorations. The colors "oak", "alder", "beech" are the most popular today. And you can choose wood with an interesting pattern and leave your native pattern. Get creative, decorate the doors with a carved pattern.

materials

The material can be natural wood, plywood, MDF or chipboard - all of which are used by furniture manufacturers.

The tree is environmentally friendly, does not require additional decorations, it is convenient to use. A wooden cabinet will last more than one year and will look solid and impressive. The perfect choice for a classic style interior.

Plywood is glued sheets of veneer (birch or coniferous trees are used). This cheap, practical material is suitable for the manufacture of almost any furniture. It is best to choose laminated plywood (FOF brand).

Chipboard (chipboard) is the cheapest and most common option. When assembling your own closet, they usually use it. Short-lived.

A self-adhesive melamine film is also useful for processing the side faces.

The rod diameter must be at least 22 mm. The easiest way is to buy it in a specialized store. You can also buy pens there.

Instruments

  • Ruler, tape measure, pencil and others for taking measurements and building a drawing.
  • Level.
  • Electric jigsaw or hacksaw for cutting.
  • Screwdriver or drill and screwdriver.
  • Glue.
  • Ratchet key.
  • Iron for gluing edging film.
  • Accessories. Each door opening mechanism has its own set.
  • It is better to buy confirmations for a chipboard cabinet with a length of 7 cm and a diameter of 0.5 cm.

Working process

First of all, measurements are taken and a drawing of the future cabinet is built. The final result depends on a correctly drawn up drawing, so approach it with all seriousness.

Making cabinet doors with your own hands is not difficult, the main thing is to correctly calculate the dimensions. If its vertical height is less than the height of the opening, the door will not completely close it, and if more, it will not fit. Finding the horizontal dimension, we must not forget about the fastening elements: they will add a few millimeters to it. The width of the doors should be ~3 mm less than the opening.

Now you need to mark the placement of the mounting bolts on the sawn parts and drill all the holes.

The assembly begins with the installation of the bottom and attaching the walls to it. Make sure that assembled cabinet fits into the allotted space and other furniture will not interfere with the opening of the doors. If you are making a wardrobe, guides are installed at this stage.

The location of drawers and shelves is outlined, shelf holders and guides are installed. They must be strictly parallel so that they do not skew.

It is time to install the upper shelves and roof. A gap of ~ 7 cm is left between the ceiling and the roof for the installation of confirmations. Fasteners are made by hand, finally tightened with a ratchet.

The side shelves are attached to 4 confirmations (two on each side), in some cases dowels (small wooden cylinders) are used. One end of the dowel is inserted into the wall of the cabinet, a shelf is put on the other.

The last step is to install the doors. Before installation, attach the handles with an outward bend. For sliding doors is especially important correct installation mechanism. Don't rush, be careful.

It's time for the finishing touches. Treat the cuts with a decorative film, decorate the facade. Put mirrors, interior lighting and other elements.

Tricks and nuances

Build on existing cabinet layouts when designing your own.

A corner cabinet requires more care in design and assembly than a straight one, so it may be too complicated for an inexperienced person.

If you do not have enough experience, it is better to entrust the cutting of parts to the master. His hand will not tremble, and the cuts will be even and neat.

In order not to get a piece smaller than necessary, consider the thickness of the saw. The wall thickness must be at least 18 mm. Otherwise, the strength of the structure will be insufficient.

When working on the drawing, pay attention to the curvature of the floor. If the floor is not level, gaps may appear between the doors. To avoid this, adjust the mounting canopies for the swing mechanism, and change the height of the wheels for the sliding mechanism.

Guides for sliding doors should be parallel. Be very careful when marking and installing guides for drawers and shelves.

Drill holes for confirmations symmetrically. Use a drill of the correct size. The exact number of confirmations depends on the number of parts. Confirmates are covered with plugs to match the color of the structure.

Installation of the mirror begins with the installation of a seal around the perimeter. The film is glued to the slices of chipboard with an iron. Smooth it with a cloth, pressing it as tightly as possible. The edges can be trimmed with a regular knife.

We hope our tips have helped answer the question of how to make a wardrobe with your own hands.

DIY cabinet photo

Usually, if a person needs a kitchen drawer, he goes to the store and buys it. But this is too simple and familiar for us. I think many people guess that it is quite possible to assemble kitchen cabinets with your own hands. This method will be much more interesting and can save you a lot of money. In addition, by assembling the locker yourself, you can get a product that will be more suitable for you.

Where to begin

To do this, you need to be prepared for certain difficulties that you can cope with. There are many instructions for assembling the lockers of the most different forms and sizes.

Regardless of the final result, if you want it to be of high quality, divide the whole process into several very milestones: preparatory, the creation of parts, the assembly stage, and the installation of this cabinet in the right place. Next, we will talk about the individual stages.

Training

In the process of creation, drawings for the manufacture of a kitchen cabinet, even your own production, can play a key role in the final state of the product. This step should not be neglected, as its impact can be enormous.

If you are not sure that you can think over and describe graphically the whole process, or if you are very afraid of a mistake, it is better to find a ready-made drawing for a cabinet on the Internet, which will later be simply implemented by you.

If you neglect the very first stage of creating a locker, you risk becoming a prisoner of additional costs in the future.

At this stage, it is important to decide where the locker will be installed. Further, based on your needs, you need to create, or find a ready-made drawing.

If we are talking about a mounted version, then almost all the advice is superfluous. The main thing in this matter is how convenient it will be to use such a locker later. After that comes the look, because you don't want the locker to look like a saddle on a cow.

Types of homemade kitchen cabinets can vary greatly in external design and inside arrangement. They can be installed on the floor, and they are much simpler in execution, or they can be suspended, which should hang in the corner.

Corner cabinets are much more difficult to make, but this task is doable. At this stage, you need to determine the external dimensions of the structure and its filling, because the placement of the shelves affects the weight of the cabinet.

If we talk about hanging cabinets, and in principle this also applies to ordinary ones, there are only three main designs. They can be angular, regular shape, and open. The most popular are just the usual ones, which have a simple angular shape and a door, sometimes made of wood, and sometimes made of glass. More on this later.

materials

It should be understood that you will need a lot of materials and tools to work with them. First of all, think about the accessories for the locker. You will need boards for the side walls and the lid, this is the first thing. Do not forget about the bottom. Now that we have the frame, we need to add the back wall and shelves to it. The whole thing will close the door.

It’s not at all difficult to install doors for kitchen cabinets with your own hands, it’s another thing to make one yourself. In fact, this is exactly the part that is better to go and buy in a store, based on the final dimensions of the locker. You can do this last. In addition, you can buy a beautiful door that will match the style of your kitchen.

I do not argue that you can even make a glass door yourself, but are you sure that the time and effort that will need to be applied to this process, multiplied by the likelihood of error, is worth it? I think not. In general, this whole scheme is designed for the fact that you will buy all the components, and the point is in a certain uniqueness of your locker, which will be accompanied by saving money.

You've already noticed that we haven't talked about what will keep it all going. The hinges will most likely have to come to you with the door, so you will only need to make the appropriate grooves for them. The same applies to door handles, but here you can experiment, and take non-complete pens.

Shelf mounts will most likely need to be purchased separately. Next, you will only need expendable materials and some decorations. We are talking about self-tapping screws, tools such as a drill, a jigsaw, and the like. Here the case is already individual.

Installation

By this stage, you should have already figured out how to assemble a kitchen cabinet with your own hands, and connect all the previously purchased parts. This is not at all difficult to do, because there are no unusual parts in the design. This applies even to corner cabinets.

First of all, make holes in the wall for mounting on suspensions. This stage will be on your way if you are assembling a hanging cabinet. If it will be installed on the floor, skip this step.

You can screw in both simple screws and hooks. After making the first hole, use a level if you want your cabinet to hang straight.

Now you need to attach the hangers to the back of the cabinet, and then hang them on the mounts. For those who assembled a floor-mounted cabinet, almost the entire process ended with the assembly. As you can see - in self assembly there is nothing complicated about the locker, it is important just to take the process responsibly.
