How to create a hall in a Khrushchev apartment. How to create an original design for a living room in Khrushchev? The interior of the hall in Khrushchev

The modern housing market is represented by apartments of various layouts, most of which are "Khrushchev". Their main disadvantage is considered to be a small living area, which complicates the process of finishing and arranging rooms. This is especially true of the living room, which in every house is not only central location for celebrations and meeting guests, but also a recreation area for all family members. For this, an individual project is being developed, thanks to which the living room will become stylish.

When creating the interior of this room, it is necessary not only to take into account the basic rules of design, but also to provide comfortable living conditions.

Peculiarities

Previously, during the construction of houses, due attention was not paid to the layout of the rooms, therefore, in the “Khrushchev” rooms, the premises are not very functional, uncomfortable and cramped. Often in such projects there are walk-through halls, and the partitions between the rooms have poor sound insulation. Therefore, before starting the repair of the living room, you should carefully consider its future design and, if necessary, rebuild it.

Modern design The interior provides for the maximum increase in space, economically using every square centimeter.

To expand the hall in "Khrushchev", designers recommend dismantling the walls, and decorate doorways with beautiful partitions or arches. If the living room area is 17 sq. m, then it can be connected to the kitchen or hallway. In addition, for rooms whose actual dimensions are less than 18 meters, you will need to apply design techniques that allow you to visually increase the space. For example, it is best to install stretch ceilings in the living room with a glossy surface, while dark canvases, on the contrary, will reduce the room and make it gloomy.

The design of a living room in a 2-room apartment is easier to arrange, since extra square meters can be correctly planned and the room can be divided into separate zones. Wall, ceiling and floor covering should be made in light colors, this also applies to furniture, carpets and textiles. Surface decoration depends on the chosen style and can be carried out various materials at the personal discretion of the owners of the house.

Walls covered with wallpaper with vertical stripes or patterns look good in small living rooms. Walls finished with plaster or painted in a single color are also considered a good option.

Style

The layout of a small living room requires a special approach in design, so for its limited space, you need to correctly select the style. Huge decorations and bright colors in the interior of such a room will look ridiculous.

To date, for the halls in the "Khrushchev" the most suitable options minimalism, Provence, Japanese and Scandinavian styles are considered.

Japanese theme provides the maximum amount of free space, the exclusion of unnecessary items from the interior and convenient access to any place in the room. The living room should contain small furniture of a simple form with a minimum presence of decorative elements. All designs are best chosen from natural wood, giving preference to light colors.

An excellent choice for the living room is also scandinavian design style. The main color in this interior will be white. Thanks to this background, the size of the room visually increases, the room becomes spacious and gains height. To complete the hall in the Scandinavian direction, you will need overhaul and complete replacement of the flooring, and for walls and ceilings it is recommended to use natural materials.

A good addition to the interior in this case will be beautiful curtains, carpets and bedspreads, various handmade accessories can be used as decorations.

For minimalism there is freedom in everything. Therefore, choosing this type of design, you will need to completely get rid of unnecessary pieces of furniture and replace everything with a built-in wardrobe. As for the soft headset, its upholstery should be plain, without complex patterns and patterns. You can not use surfaces with gloss and shine, it is best to purchase pieces of furniture with a natural shade.

Suitable for two-room "Khrushchev" provence. It is usually chosen for private houses and apartments with a spacious area. The living room, decorated in this style, will delight with simplicity, comfort and elegance. The room in this case is decorated with pastel and light colors. Various plant motifs, decor items made of wood and glass will help to add zest to the interior.

Color scheme and decor

A huge role in the design of the living room is played by the choice of colors, as various shades are perceived differently and have individual aesthetics. The right color will not only increase the space of the room, but also fill it with an atmosphere of comfort and home warmth. For example, certain shades contribute to comfortable rest and recuperation, while others, on the contrary, can emotionally overwork with their brightness and variegation.

The following palette options are most suitable for the living room in Khrushchev:

  • White. The hall area in these types of buildings is small, so they need to be lightened in every possible way. The idea of using white or its related shades is considered popular as it helps to visually expand the space, giving it freshness. In addition, on a light background, any design projects can be translated into reality.

  • Grey. At first glance, this tone may seem gloomy for decorating a living room, but using it in the form of separate inserts, you can emphasize the beauty of decorative elements.
  • Beige. This is the most neutral and warm shade, thanks to which the living room is filled with comfort. For example, beige or brown brick on the walls will significantly transform the room and make it stylish. You can also use this palette in the decoration of ceilings, flooring. Originally complements such an interior and a golden hue. Often a family photo gallery is placed on the walls in the hall; it is recommended to decorate it with golden frames.

  • Blue. Well suited for organizing a recreation area. The living room in Khrushchev, thanks to the blue tones, will be filled with coolness and will contribute to good relaxation.
  • Green. Being in a room of this color, a person gets the impression of immersion in wildlife. The green living room will help to have a good rest after a working day. It can be diluted with separate compositions of pistachio shade.

  • Red. For small rooms, this range is considered too active, but if you choose more restrained tones, for example, burgundy or wine, the room will acquire a beautiful accent in the interior.
  • Yellow. Often small rooms lack sunlight, this can be corrected with the help of yellow paints. In this case, it is recommended not to use a pure tone, but to combine it with sand, golden or banana. White and brown inserts will help to emphasize important design details.

  • Violet. Violet or lilac tones are rare in the design of living rooms, but if you choose them, the room will truly turn out to be refined and original. It is good to combine purple with white, pink or light gray.
  • Orange. It is a representative of a bright range, so it is great for decorating a living room. Orange vases, pillows, sofas, curtains will give the room a cheerful atmosphere. The main advantage of this palette is its universal combination with all shades.

As for the decor of the hall, it is desirable to use simple elements in it, avoiding textured surfaces. Furniture items should be functional, have a storage system for things and take up little space. Windows can be decorated with curtains; products made of light and natural material are suitable for this.

To provide a room with good lighting, it is advisable to install spotlights on the ceiling. The finishing touch in the interior will be small paintings, souvenirs and figurines.

Zoning

A small living room space can be made cozy and multifunctional; in this case, the area is divided into separate zones to decorate a small room. This design solution is suitable both for apartments in new buildings, which are characterized by a conventional layout, and in "Khrushchev", where you need to solve the problem of passage space.

Most often, zoning is performed as follows:

  • With furniture. Large corner sofas are well suited both as a bed, and can serve as a comfortable area for relaxing with friends. It is also recommended to furnish the room with armchairs and poufs.
  • Installing barriers. There are mobile and openwork types of structures. Thanks to them, the situation in the living room is transformed and becomes multifunctional.
  • By placing niches.
  • Constructing a podium or columns.
  • Performing various finishes in color and texture.

As a rule, a stylish living room should not consist of many areas and corners. Therefore, in the room it is enough to allocate a place for rest and eating, or to organize a small working “office”. To finish the working area, you need to use a different floor covering and decorate the walls in a different color scheme. The demarcation is also well done with the ceiling, shelving and carpeting.

Finishing materials

Today, from any living room in the "Khrushchev", regardless of its size and shape, you can make a multifunctional room, consisting of various zones. To create maximum comfort in the room, walls are often dismantled, modular partitions are placed, instead of doorways install arches. At the same time, it is quite possible to do the repair and design of such a living room with your own hands.

It is best to decorate the interior of the hall using natural materials, giving preference to light and pastel colors. A good choice for finishing surfaces will be decorative stone, plaster, wood panels, laminate and textured wallpaper canvases.

For a narrow living room that resembles the look of a corridor, wallpaper with a vertical pattern is suitable, which will allow you to slightly expand the space. You need to equip such a room with lightweight furniture models. Glass surfaces look great in design, to complement them, glossy surfaces should be selected for stretch ceilings.

Ceiling

Modern design living rooms provides various options ceiling finishes. enjoys great popularity decorative plaster, painting, suspended and tension plasterboard structures. It should be noted that for small rooms in "Khrushchev" it is undesirable to install multi-level compositions. An excellent alternative to them is photo printing or original patterns and drawings applied to canvases.

A mandatory addition is the installation of spotlights, they can be different in color and arranged both sequentially and randomly.

A more economical way to decorate the ceiling is regular painting: usually used for this white paint water based. original solution will also be the installation of wooden beams in the living room.

Floor

The interior of the living room should be calm and cozy, therefore, designers recommend choosing a laminate, parquet board or ceramic tile to decorate the flooring in this room. Although the fashion for carpet has not yet passed.

High-rise buildings being built today often have quite spacious halls of about 18 m2. However, this cannot be said about those five-story buildings that were massively built in the so-called "Khrushchev times". A room such as the hall of a Khrushchev apartment is almost always very modest in size, and in order to make a successful repair here, you need to try hard and apply original ideas.

The main disadvantage of the hall of a two-room apartment in Khrushchev is its small size (not the standard 18 meters, but only 12). When considering the design option for such an interior, remember a few important rules:

  • the interior of the hall should be cozy and comfortable for all family members without exception;
  • the atmosphere in the hall should be focused on the interests of all family members;
  • the amount of free space and space occupied by furniture in the hall should be in the ratio of 50:50.

You can also use tricks to visually expand the space:

  • build two-level suspended ceilings with glossy surfaces;
  • choose furniture with mirrors;
  • decorate the walls with light shades or apply a vertical pattern to them;
  • use translucent textiles on windows.

Repair using these techniques will achieve the effect of a visual increase in the space of a hall of 12 square meters in a two-room apartment, and it will look like a hall of 18 squares.

Lighting Options

Proper lighting hall in Khrushchev allows you to compensate for the lack of natural light in the evening. But this is far from the only purpose of lighting fixtures. With their help, you can perform a successful zoning of the space of the hall, make an accent, or, conversely, veil some flaws in the layout of the room, create original design premises. For a 12 sq m hall of a two-room apartment in Khrushchev, lighting ideas are relevant, each of which has advantages and disadvantages.

The nature of the lighting Advantages Flaws
Central A chandelier suspended in the center of the ceiling of a 12 sq. m hall provides a fairly bright light, provided that a transparent curtain is used. Many designers refuse this type of lighting in the hall, since with such lighting not the whole room is illuminated evenly.
Spot Embedded in suspended ceiling spotlights evenly illuminate the space of the hall Requires the organization of suspended ceiling structures, which provides for an increase in material costs for the repair of the hall
LED Lighting of this kind is characterized by low energy consumption, which means that you will have to pay less for light. We also note that with the help of such lighting fixtures, you can embody unique ideas on the ceiling surface: create unimaginable patterns, lighting effects Like the previous option, LED lighting must be built into suspended ceilings.

Zoning

Successful zoning of the hall space in a small apartment in Khrushchev allows you to endow this modest space with high functionality, aesthetic appeal and comfort. Apply original ideas for the interior of the hall of twelve square meters so that it looks like a standard hall of 18 meters of area. Here are the following zones:

  • rest, as in the photo. It will include comfortable sofa and chairs, a small table with magazines, where you can also put a cup of coffee. In order to delineate the boundaries of the space for relaxation, you can use finishing materials that differ in color from the rest of the hall space;
  • for window work, including desk(it is better to place it in a corner and prefer a corner design with shelves and drawers), a chair-chair and so on. At the same time, you need to hang transparent curtains on the window so that natural light falls on the desk as much as possible. So that your eyes do not get tired, it is better to put an additional lighting fixture on the table. And if the hall is a walk-through, this zone can be separated from the rest of the space by means of a screen or shelf-partition. Then nothing will prevent you from concentrating on work;
  • will complete the image of the interior and give the whole space a single design idea - the unity of textiles on the window openings, the floor and the sofa. You can pick up a rug, curtains and bedspreads on the sofa in the same color and pattern, so that in the hall small size and rest, and work was incredibly convenient.

Furniture

Since the hall of 12 square meters in a two-room city apartment of a five-story Khrushchev building is not large, it will not be possible to fit a lot of furniture here. Also, bulky curtains are not needed here.

For a hall in a city apartment in a five-story Khrushchev building, you should choose:

  • slides and walls are relevant in the hall and 12 meters of living space, and 18. It is better to choose models with glass or plastic doors with a glossy surface if your hall is small in size. Both ideas work to expand the space. In the first case, the design looks neat and light, does not overload the space of a small room. In the second version, the gloss reflects light, which visually expands the narrow space;
  • sliding wardrobe design, as in the interior in the photo. Such models are compact even when open, because their doors do not swing open, hiding the area of \u200b\u200bthe room, but move apart. But the functionality of the compartment is very high, because inside such a cabinet you can fit a convenient, practical, durable system for storing things and shoes, take a place for storing an ironing board and other aesthetically unattractive, but necessary accessories for a person. It is good if the color of the door matches the color of the furniture in the hall;
  • upholstered furniture - it is advisable to choose such models of sofas and armchairs that have the ability to fold out to organize an extra bed. If the room has a furniture-free corner, adopt good design solutions. You can choose the corner design of the sofa, as in the photo below. Such a piece of furniture will be very compact, comfortable and at the same time highly functional;
  • shelves - let them be open hanging products, without bulky doors, dense walls. Open hanging shelves are hung on the wall. They look easy, do not overload the space, but they can fit quite a lot of decorative accessories, books and other items. They are hung on the wall in a cascade, one above the other, randomly. Then the design of a room of 12 square meters is not overloaded with unnecessary details, it looks simple, concise.

Floor finish

Given the fact that the hall of the apartment in Khrushchev is modest in area, you should not try to use several materials at once for finishing the floor. For example, ceramic tiles and parquet. It is better to stop your choice on one material. The most popular options today are parquet, laminate, linoleum.

The parquet differs in high esthetics, durability and a practicality. But its organization will require a considerable investment, since parquet today is not cheap. Although 12 squares, this is not 18. And the volume parquet board, relevant here, is not so great.

No less interesting in appearance is the laminate, which is somewhat cheaper than parquet. This practical option for the hall, however, he is afraid of a large amount of liquid, therefore, special protective compounds are used to protect the seams from the risk of swelling. In addition, the hall is not a children's room, where children can spill water on the floor during the game.

For those who do not dare to make the flooring with parquet or laminate, linoleum can be offered. This is the most practical finishing material for the hall, which, for all its merits, is inexpensive. A design with a similar floor decor can be seen below in the photo.

Ceiling decoration

To finish the ceiling surface of a hall of 12 sq m in a two-room Khrushchev apartment, you can apply the technology of creating suspended plasterboard ceilings. Drywall allows for a quick time to make the surface of the ceiling smooth, to organize different types lighting, can be painted several times in a row, is relatively inexpensive, and lasts for many years without losing its original beauty.

To finish the ceiling of a small hall, you can use suspended stretch ceilings with a glossy film. This option of finishing the ceiling surface is able to reflect light, which visually creates the effect of expanding the living room space. Due to this reception, the room looks much more spacious.

I would especially like to note the repair of a small hall (12 sq m), where the ceilings are made using a combined method. The ideas are as follows: drywall layer is combined with sections of stretch film. And the original lighting only adds charm to the surface. Such an interior is shown in the following photo.

Wall finishing options

For wall decoration in a small room, standard ideas are used, namely, wallpaper. However, more and more often you can meet precisely adherents of plaster on the walls in a city apartment. Wallpapers are really affordable, they offer ample opportunities regarding the choice of color, texture, serve for a long time, but the design possibilities in terms of the use of decorative type plasters are much wider, exciting and interesting.

Plaster allows you to show imagination, quickly make wall decoration, create individual design, unlike any other project of the Khrushchev hall. Such materials are safe for human and animal health and are easily applied in practice even without the help of a professional team of builders.

Quite a new material for the hall is a decorative stone. In previous years, it was used exclusively for finishing the facades of buildings, but modern design offers many interesting ideas for decorating a small hall with its use. However, it is not necessary to trim all the walls in a room of this nature with a decorative stone. Experienced designers advise limiting yourself to one wall, corner or area that you want to separate from the rest of the space.

Color solutions

The photo below shows Beautiful design hall of a small area with a good color scheme. As you can see, light shades should prevail in a narrow space, because they are able to visually expand it, giving a person the feeling that he is inside a spacious, well-lit room of 18 squares.

This also applies to the curtains on the windows in the hall. They should be light translucent. But the door and furniture in the hall can be medium-dark, but should be in harmony with each other.

When choosing the main color of the design, it is important to consider the side that the windows face. If we are talking about the north side, then the cold daylight can be softened with yellow, beige, orange tones. For the sunny side, such cold tones as blue, gray, purple are acceptable.

Decor and accessories

Be sure to think about how to furnish the interior of the hall of small parameters in Khrushchev. Carefully you need to arrange not only large pieces of furniture (wardrobe, shelves, tables, sofas), but also small decor in the form of accessories. The design of the space with many books, figurines, photo frames will be filled with warmth and comfort. They can be placed on hanging shelves, suspended on the wall of the hall in a cascade or one above the other.

Do not forget about the corners, which often remain empty. Here will be appropriate:

  • a small floor lamp or oblong floor lamp;
  • painting;
  • big vase.

You can decorate the door in the hall. If it is not there, and instead of it there is an arch, then the beauty of the arch can be emphasized by hanging thread-curtains in the opening. This version of the curtain, as in the photo, looks very interesting.

Soft accessories, crafts are important for decorating an apartment. self made, light curtains. So incredibly interesting in the apartment are handmade soft toys with all kinds of decor in the form of ribbons, beads, weaves, leather straps. They can be “seated” on a sofa or armchairs, supplemented with small pillows sewn in the same style and color scheme. Curtains are also an element that should be given attention, because with the right choice they can become a real decoration of the room.

The Khrushchev hall is not a children's room, games are not appropriate here. However, various interior accessories are now at the height of fashion. The modern design of the hall in a city apartment fully allows the use of such extraordinary decorative solutions.

The times when apartments were handed out for free are irrevocably gone. And not so long ago, when the country began to recover after the war, in the era of large-panel housing construction, starting from 1955, they tried to provide housing, if not all, then many. Of course, these apartments, which are casually called "Khrushchev" in the common people, are far from perfect: too thin and uneven walls, low ceilings, uncomfortable layout, sound and heat insulation are not up to standard. But on the other hand, they built quickly, and the Khrushchevs completed their task in full.

In just 9 years, a quarter of the country's population was provided with housing. And until now, Khrushchevs make up a significant part of the housing stock. They give way to new houses only in the central districts of the capital and other large cities, while in the provinces Khrushchevs will stand for a long time. Their resource, previously 50 years, was revised and increased to 150 years, subject to major repairs. So it certainly makes sense to think over the design of the Khrushchev and make major repairs in it.

Yes, in Soviet times, they were happy with such apartments: even if it is housing, where there is only 1 room, and even that one is small, but it has its own. Living space norms were calculated not for reasons of comfort, but taking into account only the necessary minimum for human physiology. Now, when the needs have changed, the owners of Khrushchev want to somehow transform their housing in order to achieve comfort and functionality.

Khrushchev design options are actually not so few, especially if they involve redevelopment, for example, dividing one uncomfortable room into 2 rooms that perform different tasks, or expanding narrow and small rooms due to walk-through zones. Some options are more successful, some less, but one thing is for sure, even the apartment is like that small area with low ceilings can become modern housing.

redevelopment

Perhaps, interesting design in Khrushchev can be created only if competent redevelopment is carried out. Apartments do not have a large area, but their significant drawback is that the rooms are often narrow, uncomfortable, with a walk-through zone, non-functional corridors. This problem can be eradicated only by resorting to redevelopment.

Khrushchev houses were built according to the designs of several standard series. They differ quite slightly from each other, but they have one thing in common - a small area:

  • One-room apartments - 29–33 m 2,
  • Two-room apartments - 30–46 m 2,
  • Three-room apartments - 55–58 m 2.

When drawing up a redevelopment project, it will be necessary to solve a number of problems. One of the problems will be related to the legitimization of redevelopment, since not every design "flight of fancy" can be implemented legally. First you need to get permission to redevelop.

The first difficulty may arise with the definition of load-bearing walls. Fortunately, in almost all Khrushchev apartments, the intra-apartment partitions do not perform a supporting function, but only divide the space of the apartment into rooms, so they can be easily demolished, making major repairs. However, there are exceptions, in panel Khrushchevs you can also find bearing walls inside the apartment. Just in case, it must be said about how to determine the load-bearing wall in the apartment:

  • According to the plan of the apartment. You can get this kind of document at the BTI. You will be provided with a standard plan of the apartment with the designation of load-bearing walls and partitions.
  • Visually:
    • The load-bearing wall will be thicker than the partition. In Khrushchev, the thickness of the bearing wall will be at least 12 cm without finishing.
    • Interfloor floors will always rest on load-bearing walls.

If the wall is still load-bearing, then the opening will need to be strengthened with metal or wooden supports. Redevelopment, involving the partial dismantling of the bearing wall, can only be carried out with the permission of the housing inspectorate, strictly observing the approved project.

Even if the load-bearing walls in the redevelopment are not involved, a number of problems may arise. For example, if the redevelopment is associated with the expansion of the "wet zone". According to the law, the bathroom and toilet can only be expanded at the expense of non-residential premises, i.e. corridor, kitchen or pantry. An exception is only for residents of the first floors, where these restrictions do not apply.

Khrushchev houses often have a small little functional corridor connecting the entrance hall and the kitchen, due to which it would be convenient to expand the bathroom. Here it is in the diagram:

In fact, this is a corridor, but on the plans this site is designated as a residential area, so it remains either to put up with it, or act in two stages: first, separate this site with a partition and draw up a redevelopment of the living space into a corridor, then get permission for another redevelopment - expansion bathroom and re-register documents in accordance with all the rules. Those. you will first have to draw up a redevelopment of this type:

By the way, an increase in the bathroom due to the passage will require additional waterproofing.

If you plan to combine the kitchen and living room to create a spacious area living-dining room, then here you may encounter another limitation: the combination of living space with a kitchen, if available gas stove is not allowed. There are two ways out: change the stove to an electric one, or install a light sliding partition (after the arrival of the commission, it can be dismantled).

It is worth thinking about solving a number of other issues, which are discussed below.

Warming. Since the insulation in Khrushchev is insufficient - it is hot in them in summer, cold in winter, the walls in corner apartments often freeze through - the thermal insulation of the walls should be strengthened. And internal insulation in Khrushchev it is not applicable, since the implementation of this method leads to a shift in the dew point inside the walls. As a result, the walls begin to collapse, especially brick ones. Insulation is available with the help of sheathing the external walls with polystyrene plates or with the help of lathing and mineral wool on the first floors of the building.

Glazing replacement. old wooden windows it is advisable to replace with new plastic ones. Here you will have to face some difficulties. Firstly, in some Khrushchev (panel) houses there are no window sills, and secondly, the window opening is likely to be uneven. If you contact a company with experience, then there will be no problems with window installation, since experience in replacing windows in Khrushchev has been gained. Something to think about carefully:

  • how wide will the window sill be,
  • how to make window insulation.

Usually they try to make the window sill wider so that there is room for indoor plants. In Khrushchevs, where initially there were no window sills, this should be avoided. On the one hand, the area of support for a wide window sill is insufficient, which means that the structure will be very unstable, on the other hand, a wide window sill will cause a violation of heat transfer. By the way, plaster slopes must be completely dismantled.

Redevelopment ideas

So, the main problems of redevelopment and repair in Khrushchev are indicated. Now about the specific ideas of redevelopment.

One-room Khrushchev

It would seem that what can be invented, having a one-room Khrushchev as the initial data? It turns out that it is possible to enlarge the bathroom and make a separate bedroom, at least it is quite possible to make the redevelopment more convenient.

Typical layout one-room apartment in Khrushchev it is a corridor leading to the kitchen and an “arch” to the living room. In some series, the "arch" was built up, and the passage to the room was located directly opposite front door. Sometimes the project included a storage room. In the corner apartments, there was another window on the long wall of the living room.

Redevelopment option Description of the redevelopment

This is a redevelopment option, where the “arch” is built up and turns into an ordinary doorway, the functionality of the living room in this case increases, since, for example, a sofa can be placed along the wall that has grown in length. The door to the toilet is also transferred, due to the rounding of the space, the hallway becomes more spacious. Now it can fit comfortably corner cupboard. The kitchen remains unchanged.

Here you can see that everything is completely demolished interior partitions, including bathroom partitions. The space is completely rebuilt. The bathroom is expanding due to the corridor, now there is enough space to install washing machine. The sink, by the way, is transferred to the opposite wall, which will require a sewer supply. The partition between the living room and the kitchen is dismantled, the wall between the bathroom and the kitchen is lengthened by building up the old doorway: you can place a full-fledged kitchen set. The disadvantage of redevelopment is that the hallway area is decreasing, but now it is convenient to place a closet in the living room, especially since there is a place for hangers and shelves for shoes in the hallway.

Another option for transforming space through the passage. In this case, the orientation of the bathroom changes - it increases slightly in area, but the main emphasis is on increasing the area of \u200b\u200bthe kitchen. It is partially combined with the living room due to a wide opening in which sliding partitions can be installed.

Here much attention is paid to storage places, and there is also a place for a double bed, it is not separated from the living area in any way, but is located in a cozy nook. The kitchen is combined with the living room, a separate niche for the refrigerator is arranged. You can beat the kitchen, living room and sleeping areas with the help of design. Pay attention to the bathroom. The entrance to it is transferred from the hallway to the passage, due to which the door is removed from narrow hallway. Replacing the bathtub with a shower cabin allows you to unload the space and install a washing machine.

In this version, due to the transfer of the doorway to the kitchen, the bathroom was expanded, or rather the bath area, part of the wall was beveled, which resulted in a full-fledged doorway to the living room. The kitchen space is not significantly optimized.

Here the partition between the hallway and the living room has been demolished. There is a closet in this place. The partition between the living room and the kitchen is partially missing. The role of the space divider is performed by the bar counter. By moving the dining area from the kitchen to the living room, the kitchen has become much more spacious. The kitchen set in this version is located with the letter "G" and occupies not only a long wall, but also a wall with a window. Perhaps, it should be noted the lack of storage space and a small bathroom, which is not rebuilt, but instead of a bathtub, a shower cabin and a washing machine are installed.

Even such a small apartment as one-room Khrushchev can be made two-room if necessary. For example, on this plan you can see that a bed and a bedside table have been placed in the far corner of the living room. The bedroom area is separated by a partial partition to allow access to natural light as the bedroom has no window. The kitchen and dining area are united by a single countertop. Zoning carried out using flooring. There are storage spaces both in the hallway and in the living room.

In the corner Khrushchevs, where there are two windows in the room, there are more redevelopment options, more precisely, two full-fledged ones can be made from one room bright rooms with natural light. This plan shows that the partition between the kitchen and the living room has been demolished, but a new partition has been erected, which now divides the room into two parts. The result is an excellent apartment with separate rooms: a living-dining room and a bedroom. The bathroom area is not affected by the redevelopment.

This redevelopment option is similar to the previous one, but the entrance to the bedroom is from the living room. But in the bedroom you can order a large closet, which will solve the problem with storage space.

Two-room Khrushchev

The typical layout of a two-room Khrushchev apartment gives more design options, especially if all the walls in the apartment are not load-bearing.

In typical two-room Khrushchev you can significantly expand the bathroom due to the passage, organize a spacious dining-living room. In addition, from two-room apartment in fact, you can make a three-ruble note. There are three common typical layouts kopeck piece in Khrushchev, which people have received loving names: "book", "tram", "mini-improvement".

Redevelopment option Description of the redevelopment

The partition between the room and the living room is simply demolished. Space former passage now divided between three rooms: entrance hall, bathroom and kitchen. In the hallway there is a wardrobe, in the bathroom there is a washing machine, in the kitchen there is a niche for a refrigerator. The doorway to the pantry is blocked up. It turned into a dressing room with an entrance from the bedroom. The kitchen is combined with the living room.

Similar option. The difference is that in the hallway there is no niche for a closet, and in the living room, opposite the front door, there is a workplace. The entrance to the wardrobe is not from the bedroom, but from the living room, next to the workplace.

Here, the redevelopment mainly touched the kitchen and living room. The wall between the living room and the kitchen has been torn down and replaced by an island kitchen sink. The dining area is now in the living room: the dining table is adjacent to the sofa. Behind a sliding partition there is a double bed, which we managed to fit in thanks to building up the wall between the hallway and the living room. From the bedroom area you can go into a spacious dressing room, hidden behind sliding door. The bedroom became a nursery for two children.

The disadvantage of this redevelopment is immediately visible - it is too long and narrow corridor, but, nevertheless, this option has the right to exist. After all, it allows you to make separate rooms, expand the bathroom at the expense of the corridor, allocate a storage area. Both the bedroom and the living-dining room are separated by partial partitions, which perform the function of zoning the space and highlight the recreation area.

In this version, a niche for a refrigerator and a wardrobe is made at the passageway. The partition between the kitchen and the living room is removed only partially, only to make a new entrance. The living room turned out to be dark, the light comes only thanks to the transparent inserts in the partitions. But new bedroom turned out very bright and with a balcony.

There is also a possibility of such a variant of redevelopment. Part of the pantry and the bedroom become a common space with the living room, the partition between the living room and the hallway is moved deeper into the room, the kitchen partition is dismantled. It turns out a very spacious living-dining room, a small bedroom and a full dressing room.

The kitchen and living room are not combined here, as in most of the previous options, but the bathroom is also expanded through the passage. The partition in the bedroom divides the room into two bedrooms - one with a window, the other without it. The wall is zigzag to leave room in both rooms for deep built-in wardrobes.

This option is similar to the previous one. The bedroom here is also rebuilt in such a way that two separate rooms are obtained from it, but the bathroom is not rebuilt, there is now a dressing room in the aisle and a place for a built-in wardrobe in the hallway. The partition between the living room and the hallway is moved further - a comfortable workplace is organized.

An interesting option is a diagonal redevelopment, as, for example, can be seen in this plan. Thanks to this approach, it was possible to fit a corner bath into the bathroom, combine a washbasin under a common worktop and washing machine. The kitchen does not expand, but its design changes significantly. First, the partition is being demolished. The table is replaced by a bar counter. Secondly, the sink is transferred to the side of the wall with a window. The partition between the bedroom and the living room is moved to install built-in furniture. The highlight of the project is a dressing room, on the sides of which you can place corner cabinets-pencil cases.

There is also a diagonal entrance. But the bedroom is significantly expanded due to the living room. In fact, it turns out three room apartment, but the living room is small and separated from the kitchen by a low partition.

A similar project, but the entrance hall is a little larger. There is a niche for a wardrobe. The bathroom has been enlarged.

Two-room Khrushchev on two sides. The rooms are adjacent. And the main task is to make them separate. From the narrow hallway, the door to the bathroom is transferred, and by reducing the area of \u200b\u200bthe living room, it is possible to allocate space for a pantry or dressing room. The bedroom is divided by a through rack, thanks to which the illumination is not significantly reduced, but the space is zoned into the bedroom and the living room. Instead of the former living room is now a children's room.

Three bedroom apartment

In a three-room Khrushchev, the tasks of redevelopment also come down to solving the problem of adjacent rooms and their small area.

Typical layout three-room apartment involves a small kitchen and a walk-through living room, from which the entrance to the bedroom is carried out, one bedroom is separate. It can be a book-type layout:

Or the "tram" layout:

Redevelopment options Description of the redevelopment

This plan shows that the entrance to the bathroom has been moved and made at the junction of the walls, the partitions of the kitchen and the hallway have been dismantled. The pantry has been converted into a dressing room and slightly expanded with a walkway.

In this option, there is no partition between the living room and the living room. The bathroom is combined. The partition between the living room and the kitchen is partially removed, but remains opposite the bathroom. The entrances to one of the bedrooms and the wardrobe are located in the form of a semicircle.

There is a large and comfortable dressing room, the entrance to which is from the bedroom. In the living room there is a special rounded niche for the TV, which has become a central element. The living room also has a dining area.

hallway design

The entrance hall in Khrushchev has several disadvantages:

  • miniature;
  • long and narrow corridor;
  • inconvenient layout in the form of the letter "G".

To avoid the lack of space, the entrance hall can be expanded with a bathroom or a living room, at least in order to install a closet. The fact is that even a narrow closet in such a hallway would be inappropriate, because often the situation is aggravated by the bathroom door opening into the hallway. If it is not planned to increase the room, then you will have to go for various design tricks in order to prevent the hallway from feeling cluttered.

Design techniques that will allow you to unload the interior as much as possible:

  • Minimalistic furniture. This applies not only to the design of furniture, but also to its quantity. In the hallway should be only the most necessary. These are, for example, places for shoes and clothes. Moreover, open hangers should be avoided, since even a couple of sets of winter clothes on it will create a messy effect. Still, you need to try to allocate space under the closet. It can be a small corner cabinet with a mirrored door. Nearby you can hang a small shelf for small things that should be at hand. In general, corner structures and mirrors should be used in the Khrushchev hallway. That's just in front of the door to hang a mirror is not recommended for Feng Shui.
  • Help expand space competent choice of interior color. It is known that light colors visually make the interior more spacious. This is true for the hallway as well. However, if you follow this advice, choose materials that can be washed. For example, for walls it can be paint, for floors it can be tiled or ceramic tile. Avoid materials with a porous texture, it is easy to get them dirty in a cramped hallway, but it will be difficult to return the previous look. From the cramped hallway will distract color accents, but do not overdo it - there should not be many of them. As for the ceilings, they must certainly be light, no experiments with dark shades on the ceiling, otherwise there will be a feeling of a very low ceiling.
  • Lighting. Of course, the design of the corridor should provide for carefully thought-out lighting. In the hallway, which is a priori devoid of a natural light source, this is extremely important. Best Option will be tension glossy ceiling with spotlights. Their number must be sufficient. For example, lamps are often placed along the entire ceiling along the center line or along the perimeter near the walls in two rows. Additional wall lamps can be provided. The switch must be positioned so that it can be reached from the threshold. It is quite inconvenient when it is located in the center of the hallway. You have to cross part of the hallway in the dark in dirty shoes, coming from the street, just to turn on the light. By the way, if the corridor is long, then it is advisable to install a walk-through switch, with which you can control the lighting from different ends of the corridor.
  • Zoning. In a miniature hallway, zoning will probably be inappropriate, which cannot be said about a long corridor. Some designers advise dividing the space of such a corridor into two, maximum three zones using arches, you can also use color schemes.

living room design

When designing a living room, you will have to face the same problems as in the hallway: low ceilings, little light. In addition, the living room is often a walk-through, which is why a significant part of it cannot be fully used. Some of the problems are solved with the help of redevelopment, as mentioned above, some can be solved by using competent design ideas.

  • laconic design, lack of protruding decorative elements;
  • the minimum amount of furniture,
  • neutral colors, it is possible to use contrasting colors to transform the perception of space, but a professional approach is required.

Most likely, you will have to order furniture according to your size, since it will be difficult to pick up something from the finished one.

The most correct move would be to replace heavy curtains with light curtains that will let natural light into the room as much as possible. In the evening, good artificial lighting should be organized. It can be all the same spotlights in combination with glossy light stretch ceiling, plasterboard ceiling with niches that are well lit around the perimeter, or the so-called floating ceiling, implemented using LED lighting.

Of course, you can make a separate bedroom in Khrushchev, but if you don’t want to sacrifice free space, for the sake of placing a double bed, which will stand as a “dead weight”, you can choose transforming furniture as a solution. Now on sale there is not only a bed that transforms into a small sofa, you can buy corner sofas in a complex with living rooms, which will turn into full-fledged beds at night.

As for style, with a skillful approach, you can design a living room in almost any of the styles, at least you can use individual style elements. Here, for example, living rooms in the style of shabby chic and high-tech:

Bedroom design in Khrushchev

Bedrooms in such layouts as "book" and "tram" are narrow and long. In terms of area, they seem to be not so small, but this does not add functionality to them. If redevelopment is not carried out in the bedroom, then one should strive to bring the shape of the bedroom closer to the square with the help of furniture. This is easy to do if the layout is "book". You can make a spacious dressing room or a spacious closet. With the "tram" is more difficult, but there is also a way out. As you can see above, with the help of redevelopment, you can combine a living room and a bedroom in one room.

With regard to lighting, choice of furniture and colors, all the recommendations that were given for the living room and hallway apply to the bedroom. Separately, it should be said that in the design of the bedroom it is better to avoid the use of cold saturated colors in in large numbers, however, bright contrasting shades in large quantities are also inappropriate here. The bedroom should be conducive to rest and peace. Use in the bedroom finishing materials and textiles, mostly pastel light shades, combining colors. You can choose the main White color, having created something in the Scandinavian style.

There are specially designed color schemes for interior design that can be successfully used when choosing the color of furniture, trim and accessories.

Don't use complex decorative elements with frilly curved lines. If there is very little space, limit yourself to one bed. A mirror will be functional in the bedroom, especially if there is a place for a small dressing table and a dressing room is located nearby. A chandelier is often hung in the bedroom. It’s better to abandon it anyway and limit yourself to spot lighting, but if you really want to, then choose flat models.

Kitchen in Khrushchev

There is too little space in the kitchen in Khrushchev, literally you can’t turn around. It is necessary either to redevelop, or try to transform the space so that it becomes functional and comfortable.

The main move is custom-made furniture. An insignificant moment, but two or three centimeters here and there, sometimes, decide the "outcome of the battle." Having carefully thought through the placement of the kitchen set, or rather all sections, drawers and household appliances you can literally implement a renovation in the kitchen of Khrushchev. Built-in appliances will serve well: microwave, oven, hob, Dishwasher which may be small. Even refrigerators can now be purchased built-in under the countertop: it seemed - a cabinet; but no, open the refrigerator.

It has become fashionable now to transfer kitchen sink to the window, thanks to which a tall refrigerator can be placed in the corner. We'll have to tinker with the sewer, but the solution is worth it.

You can not transfer the sink, if you do not see the need for it, but simply use the windowsill as a countertop. Some connect with a single countertop working area and a bar counter, which makes the interior more solid.

As for textiles, then pick up short light curtains in the kitchen, or even better horizontal blinds located directly on the sashes plastic windows- very comfortably.

Sewer and gas pipes are not very conveniently located in Khrushchev in the kitchen. Gas pipes, if desired, can be moved by contacting the appropriate authorities. And you can disguise them with furniture or a plastic box, or assemble a drywall box.

We hope that our advice will help you independently develop the redevelopment and design of your beloved and native Khrushchev. And finally, we offer you to look at another selection of photos of Khrushchev design.

Khrushchev design photo

Each person dreams of living in comfortable conditions, in a practical room in which every little thing is thought out. Even if you cannot boast of large living space, there is always the opportunity to equip a house in at its best, especially if you follow the recommendations of designers and at the same time be guided by your own preferences. It is worth noting that in an apartment like Khrushchev you can create an incredible, interesting and most stylish design, which will please not only the household, but also the guests.

In order for Khrushchev to be stylish, fashionable, unusually beautiful, it is worth giving preference to exceptionally light colors that contribute to the visual expansion of space. The lighter the color of the walls, ceiling and furniture, the more voluminous the room will become, which is what is required in the first place. As for the material for covering the walls, it all depends on the preferences of the owners of the house.

It can be:

  • Wallpaper for painting;
  • Textured wallpaper;
  • Vinyl or silkscreen;
  • Textile fabric;
  • Coating with an ornament or stripes, and preferably vertical.

To visually raise the ceiling, you can decorate the hall with lamps directed from the bottom up. Such light fluxes will create a 3D volume. Rectangular paintings, curtains made of combined material, as well as a curtain with a vertical ornament will look no less impressive.

For plant lovers, you can suggest the use of tall flowerpots or elegant metal flower stands.

Basically, the living room in Khrushchev is a common place, and it is there that meetings, conversations, receiving guests and even solving important problems take place. It is worth noting that the design of the hall should be to the taste of all household members, and also such that there is no pressure on the psyche. If the area of the room is also used for sleeping, then the design should contain a separate place or transforming furniture.

Often from small space in a narrow room they are trying to get rid of by combining the hall and the kitchen. This is how you can expand the boundaries of the room, as well as make it more practical. After redevelopment, it will be convenient to cook and at the same time be close to your loved ones, and in particular with children.

It is important to know that self-made redevelopment can lead to far from small problems, for example, the imposition of a BTI fine, the collapse of walls and ceilings. They can be avoided if you contact the relevant authorities in a timely manner and obtain permission after the premises have been examined by a specially assembled commission.

Hall design in 2-room Khrushchev

No matter how much the room apartment undergoes the transformation of the hall, since in general it is possible to make changes only in it. It is extremely important not to make a mistake with the style of decoration so that the atmosphere created is pleasant to the eye.

Minimalism

This is not just a direction, but a thoughtful and concise style, in which the advantage is given to the minimum amount of furniture, and mainly modular designs, as well as materials of the same type in restrained colors when finishing. Decorating with a minimum number of bright accessories is acceptable.

Classic style

It is mainly taken when combining the kitchen and living areas. V classical style openings, both door and window, are either converted into arched ones, or decorated for them. In the classics there is always a place for mirrors, paintings and original figurines, and therefore those who prefer such decor should choose the classic style.

The main rule for decorating the Khrushchev living room can be called what less squares in the room, less furniture in terms of quantity and dimensions, it is worth choosing for interior decor.

You should not make a common mistake in arranging interior items around the perimeter of the room, which narrows the space and naturally spoils it.

Furniture for Khrushchev in the living room

The ideas of what furniture to choose should be the most realistic, since you need not only to pay attention to newfangled design solutions, but also to the room itself.

And to be more precise, then on it:

  • Shape;
  • Dimensions;
  • Defects and irregularities.

For Khrushchev's apartments, the most valuable thing is free space, and therefore it must be preserved to the maximum. Furniture in such apartments should be not only beautiful, but also multifunctional, practical, and it is desirable to transform into a more comfortable look.

The best option for such premises is modular furniture, which takes up a minimum of space, and also has excellent capacity.

Modular designs include:

  • Comfortable folding sofa;
  • A soft corner that transforms into a place to sleep.

Furniture should be small and preferably light. If you want to buy a corner sofa, then you should choose those in which a cabinet or mini-bar is built in, so you can eliminate the purchase of a coffee table. Cabinet furniture should be discarded, as it is too bulky, expensive and will reduce the height of the ceilings.

Important! Interior items should harmoniously fit into the interior and be in the same style with the room.

If there are mirror or glossy surfaces on the furniture, then this will be some kind of trick to brighten the room.

Read more about the design of a room with a balcony.

Zoning of the walk-through hall with a balcony in Khrushchev

The hall is one of the most sophisticated rooms in the apartment. It is also called a walk-through, because. this room is the "face" of the whole apartment. Although in some cases, the "gateway" refers to the concept of adjacent rooms. To make it functional, comfortable and, at the same time, to embody in it an exquisite, original interior you need to make a lot of effort, or create a design project in . The small dimensions of the room are of great difficulty, but with other design techniques, you can make the room really very comfortable and beautiful. The hall is very often the largest room in Khrushchev, its area is about 18 square meters. By combining a room with a balcony, you can increase the area of a small apartment. And it will help to visually enlarge the room.

The division of the room will allow you to isolate the various functional areas and bring originality and aesthetics to the interior. There are several techniques for zoning a small hall in Khrushchev.

However, do not forget about other rooms that are also not large in Khrushchev. For example, like and, the matter is necessary and complex.

Combination with kitchen or hallway

This style is also well suited for a small hall, as it does not contain unnecessary elements, forming a maximum of space.

As in minimalism, simplicity and functionality are considered the main principles in this stylistic direction. Unlike minimalism, this style actively uses contrasting colors and various geometric shapes and combinations. The walls are usually decorated with original paintings and stylish prints. As finishing materials metal, glass, wood, stone are used. The hall, decorated in the style of constructivism, will look not only spacious, but also very stylish.

Eco style

For lovers of nature and clean air, eco-style is the ideal solution. This style combines modern technologies and expensive natural materials. A room decorated in this style is environmentally friendly and safe for people's health. The eco-style interior promotes relaxation and maximizes relaxation, so it is ideal for decorating a hall. Typically, eco-style rooms are decorated in bright and natural colors, which will visually increase the cramped room.

High tech

To small hall in Khrushchev it looked not only spacious and functional, but also ultra-modern, you can decorate it in style. A hall in this style will look very impressive. However, the small dimensions of the room can greatly hinder the use of many of the techniques of this style. Of the materials in this style, glass, plastic, metal, artificial leather, synthetic fabrics are used in large quantities.

Classic

For those who treat life with some conservatism, the hall can be decorated. Light, noble shades, stucco, columns, openwork curtains, expensive fabrics and materials - these are the characteristic features of a classic interior.

It is also desirable to design the classic style in large rooms, so in a small Khrushchev hall it may not be entirely appropriate.

Colors for walls: wallpaper and other finishes

When decorating the interior in a small Khrushchev hall, the choice of color must be approached with great care. The small dimensions of a cramped room require a visual increase in space.

Light pastel colors are most suitable for a small hall in Khrushchev. Such colors will make the space visually wider and more spacious. Cold shades of white, blue, green, lilac, turquoise, violet are especially good. The hall will look no less beautiful in beige, cream, pale yellow, pale pink. The interior can also be decorated in gray color, but you definitely need to place a few bright, warm accents so that the interior is not so gloomy and cold.

The photo shows an example of a combination of blue and white colors.

White color is used in almost any stylistic direction. Shades of white will give the room lightness, freshness and airiness. White color is an ideal background color, on which you can successfully highlight small bright details, place accents. It goes well with other shades. However, the white color is not very practical, as it quickly gets dirty. Decorated in black and white colors will make the style of the room elegant.

Dark and bright colours it is better not to use them, they can turn an already small room into a cramped, uncomfortable room.

We select furniture: how to arrange

The main qualities of furniture located in a small Khrushchev hall should be practicality and functionality. It should not be too massive and heavy, but, on the contrary, should have minimal dimensions and light weight.

The color of the furniture must be combined with the overall colors premises. The shape and materials of furniture should be in harmony with the interior. It is very important not to overload the interior of the room with furniture, as this will noticeably spoil the interior.

In a small room, you should not pick up a sofa that is too large. It is advisable to purchase a light-colored sofa with removable covers, as it will quickly get dirty and lose its original color. Light-colored furniture usually lightens the interior, making it lighter and more relaxed. dark furniture not quite suitable for a small room, as it makes it busy and cramped. If you plan to receive many guests, then you need to take care of purchasing sofas and transformer chairs.

Next to the sofa you can put a small coffee table. It can be made of any material - glass, wood, metal and serve bright accent in room.

Massive walls are best not placed in a small room. Furniture, small size, quite suitable. Furniture slides give the interior of the living room completeness and allow rational use of the space of the room. A good alternative to them are open shelving and miniature hanging shelves.

Lighting

Lighting is one of the design techniques, with which you can radically change the interior of the room, bring something new into it. Proper lighting emphasizes the beauty of materials and the shape of furniture, and also divides the room into functional areas.

In a small Khrushchev hall, it is necessary to install high-quality lighting. In a room with small dimensions, there should be a lot of light, primarily natural. Therefore, there is no need to cover the windows with thick heavy curtains, curtains, as this will make the room darker. In this case, it is advisable to use curtains made of translucent light fabrics, as they will let in a sufficient amount of natural light, making the room lighter and more airy.

Luminaires should be selected in accordance with the stylistic direction of the room.

If, for example, the hall is decorated in a classic style, then a crystal chandelier, a chandelier with a wooden or metal frame, with fabric lampshades or imitation candles can be placed on the ceiling. Also, you can place wall sconces made in the same design as the chandelier. However, it is advisable not to install a large chandelier, as it will clutter up the space in a cramped room. When decorating the hall in modern stylistic directions, minimalism, constructivism, hi-tech, it is appropriate to use built-in lamps located on different levels as well as LED lighting in different colors.

With the help of multi-level interior lighting using LED backlighting, you can create many original design solutions in an ordinary Khrushchev apartment. Many elements of the interior are distinguished by LED lighting:

  • TV zones;
  • catwalks;
  • dividing into functional zones, lines;
  • various niches;
  • recessed ceilings.

In modern styles, spotlights are also widely used, which can be mounted in the ceiling, walls, floor, niches, suspended ceilings. Such lamps are very compact, take up little space and look modern, so they are relevant. There are spotlights with brightness control, which is very convenient when designing functional areas.

When decorating a hall in high-tech style, you can install stylish spotlights, which are lamps on brackets with a directional flow of light. Spotlights give the interior of the room innovation and modernity and are usually mounted in suspended and stretch ceilings.

decoration

The decoration of the hall, in general, will depend on the chosen stylistic direction. The list of finishing materials for the walls of the hall is quite wide. It could be:

On the photo is an example corner sofa as a space separator.

As in the hall is usually laid:

  • wooden parquet;
  • laminate;
  • linoleum;
  • carpet.

In the hall, you can arrange a variety of decor items in abundance, it is in this room that they will be most appropriate. Original figurines and souvenirs, large vases with flowers, unusual paintings or prints, soft carpets, textiles will bring elegance and completeness to the interior of the hall. Correct location decor items in the hall is a whole art. They need to be selected in accordance with the stylistic direction of the interior.
